Rally cross ground clearance...?

Featured Replies

for you guys who rallycross alot....

my RX is rather low, its got about 2.5 inches of clearance a the rear diff, and about 4~5 everywhere else.

im wondering if that'll survive the 'average' rallyx course.........seeing as ive never done it before, i really dont know.

I certainly wouldn't run it without a protecting plate under the diff. It would not survice the Hillsboro course very long; definitely would have a problem at the Brooklyn course.

Oil pan is way more vulernable than a diff.

The pros run low to the ground. Skid plates are key ;)

well looks like we have a project now huh? :)

I'd feel the need to run skid plates on the street with that kind of clearance.

here here!

may want to take off that bodykit, it's too hot to have torn off by a big bump!

is this going to be an ongoing thing? or are you just trying one RallyX out for fun? there was a rallyx last year inside the harrisburg farm show complex... simple dirt figure 8 track, no inclines or declines since it was indoors. i dont think ground clearance would be an issue for something like that as long as you stay on course.

....otherwise youd better get a skidplate! check the article about rallyx in the april 05 issue of subiesport.
