September 12, 200520 yr Hi, I have an 1982 leone 5 speed manual 23 count splines. I have read about people swaping the inside gearing in a Leone RXII LSD to maintain correct ratio and using them in this model of leone. I have found a Legacy LSD, could the same be done with this? Thankx Hayden
September 12, 200520 yr The Leg LSD is a Vicous (sp?) LSD and I believe 3.9 (mine was any ways) It will bolt right in. Great on snowy/icy roads, not so great for off road. PS, I just noticed where you are located. You'd have to check the ratios to be sure they're the same. Tim
September 12, 200520 yr If its from a turbo legacy, I'm pretty sure its a 3.900 ratio. I have no idea about the international cars however...
September 13, 200520 yr Author I beleive my old school leone is 3.7 ratio. is this correct? Can I change crown and pinon in legacy LSD to maintain 3.7 ratio???
September 13, 200520 yr Author Also, what about the stub axles they will have the wrong spline count. My spline count is 23 and I think the legacy is 25. Can I change the stub axles? how is this done?
September 14, 200520 yr I ran a USDM Turbo Legacy VLSD (3.90) in my 86 GL-10 Turbo Sedan for years. I also have a 3.90 D/R tranny in the car.
