September 17, 200520 yr Don't know the details, but I ran across this today... http://www.autoblog.com/entry/1234000230056945/ DB
September 17, 200520 yr What so Subaru is 5 or 8 years late, as usual? Found this though. http://ymmv.coffeehaus.com/archives/001325.html My customer were looking for a 7 seater, I said wait for the Tribeca. Well that was a joke for a 7 seater, most ended up with a Volvo 70 series. That van does not look very big. See 3rd post down. Looks like it was a hoax. If we were getting a Van in 07 we would hear about it by now. http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.ef8938d
September 17, 200520 yr If Subaru could produce a minivan that could compete with the chrysler minivans, I would get one... You need a lot more room when you have kids than anything Subaru currently offers. It's too bad, because I think Subaru could do well in that market segment if they stick to the basics and provide a solid AWD drivetrain. Matt
September 18, 200520 yr I think this is just for the home market, in Japan. At least that is what the second link said. Joe
September 18, 200520 yr Any spy photos of what it might look like? http://ymmv.coffeehaus.com/archives/001325.html
September 19, 200520 yr This info is incorrect. Check out NASIOC's news & rumors forum. The minivan is meant for japanese markets only.

Trouble is, Subaru has already stated they're moving up-market. Too bad, because I like their stuff. Not for over $30K, though. The kind of stuff they were making from, I don't know, ~'78 to ~'94 or so is what made the company here and now they're abandoning it.
September 19, 200520 yr Figures. Japan-only or not, the Subaru we once loved is gone, replaced by GM's money-hungry corporate kiss-rump roast attitude. Guess I'll hafta find a new brand in a few years.
September 19, 200520 yr Or just wait for GM to be so hard up for money they sell thier 20% share back to subaru. One can only hope. Joe
September 19, 200520 yr God I hope so, that would be great GM wrecks everything they get there hands on look at the new SAAB SUV a.k.a another Chevy Blazer variant!!
September 20, 200520 yr Hi, I don't get it. I thought the Forester was their mini SUV. Why do they need another one? The 2006 was even revamped with a new front end and more horsepower. Bye, Capri
September 20, 200520 yr Ooops, I thought it said new mini SUV when they already have the Forester. Bye, Capri.
