RX has me on my last nerve... (UPDATE)

I would make sure you have a a/f meter in the car before running the super afc. I was looking at that for my wagon but if you look at the tecnial section on the apexi website it says that the meter will not read any signal higher than 5v. The older maf sensors go higher than that. I talked to a guy at apexi and he siad not to use it because wonce it goes over 5v it will not know what to do and go lean. Sorry to be a bummer.

I've considered an SAFC....since it was free...but, I came to the conclusion that stock was just fine....until I got a MegaSquirt.

This is some cool stuff. I'm a total noob when it comes to tuning, but it's good to know that you guys are still tinkering on your RX's. My RX is bone stock and runs very well for an aged car.

I haven't thought about any mods yet, but I'd like to start sometime. All my friends kind of scratch their heads and wonder why I even bother driving my RX, though. :-\

If your friends really knew then they would'nt wonder why.

mmm soon mine will run hopefully. I too have timing issues but not at the degree as yours seem to be. Ack, timing belts are a new thing for me.

Yeah, take them out for a ride when it rains (if it ever does in LA). They will change thier tune :brow:

yeah mine seems to have a traction issue in fwd from first to 3rd gear

i actually got a accidental 4wd drift earlier

I love putting it into 4wd Low in rain... omg so fun... :burnout:

If only it would rain more and there were less cops around here.
