March 7, 200620 yr Is there a demand for megasquirt units? I'm thinking of a business idea:grin:. YES! I'm one:D
March 7, 200620 yr I will have MS someday, but I will build my own. ...unless you can sell it cheaper...
March 7, 200620 yr yeah I plan on building my own, unless yours are so cheap that I can't justify spending the time vs. the money
March 7, 200620 yr cost i'd definitely pay for one for an EA82 or ER27 depending on final cost and if it's plug and play/has directions, etc. if it's much cheaper to figure it out then i'll do that. there is a market, it may not be on this group, but there is one out there.
March 7, 200620 yr well if you can make it plug and play (like the correct wiring harnass, resistors and stuff) and at a good price, I think you'll sell bundles  and if you ship to europe, you have a buyer here
March 8, 200620 yr got your PM and replied. I'm with all the guys here. Basically if you can delete the MAF and make it into a plug and play setup OR include instructions on how to butcher the stock harness, I'd be all game!
March 8, 200620 yr You'd have to offer plug and play in my opinion as there is 3 awesome megasquirt retailers right now that have been around for years so you'd need something unique for subaru's. Second there are two board members here that have planning on releasing prebuilt units that you would heed to offer a cost or technical aspect over. The MAF is gone with any Megasquirt install unless you specifically reprogram it for a MAF signal vs MAP. For those like Gary, I'll have complete instructions and wiring diagrams posted within the next three weeks on how to install a MS (or MSNS'E) to the stock harness, without butchering, and have the ability to swap the stock computer back in.
March 8, 200620 yr fifth'd on the Plug and play.... also maybe if you made the ignition control PnP with some Dizzy-less ign for da 6:brow:
March 8, 200620 yr For those like Gary, I'll have complete instructions and wiring diagrams posted awesome. that's craziness.
March 9, 200620 yr I'm not super picky.. a decent box, serial port for wideband plug in and something even sort of close to plug and play would be nice
