My computer went on the fritz. (or so I thought)

It was actually the monitor, but had me confused for a week or so.

I wanna thank good ol' Edrach for taking his time to come by and let me try one of his monitors. Doh! All better.

And I wanna thank Tex for calling to vollunteer his and Nomica's help if me and Ed couldn't figure it out. Let's just say I "felt the love" that day bro.

Glad you're up and running again. Great job getting back on the "air" so quickly.

It took several tries to get the cds to load, had to stick it in the cd rom instead of the DVD like the instructions called for. :banghead: Lost a couple thousand (no really) photos including mass irriplaceable ones of my boy. . . but it's up and running like it was from the factory now. :headbang:

Yes, backup regularly. Burn all those Photo's to a CD or 2...keep one onsite, and the irreplacable ones keep at a friends (incase, god forbid, the house burns down or something).

Which reminds me, i have 8gb of MP3's i need to backup before my HDD fails.

Eric, for as many friends as you have on the board, there shouldn´t be a day that goes by that you don´t feel the love.

You should burn all those pics to CD's. I had the same problems you did a while ago and lost alot of stuff. Now I burn all my stuff onto CD's/DVD's.

I back them up from time to time, I have a pile going back years. . . but hadn't for a month or so. It was in my mind to burn a cd the morning I came in to find I couldn't get it to work. . .

Could be worse, I coulda got good and mad and smashed the computer like I felt like doing.
