Big Air contest?

Featured Replies

There was a video posted a long time ago with an austrailian EA82 wagon that was apparently fitted with a WRX engine. It must have been at least 10 feet off the ground. Someone who saw it first hand said the landing was so hard it buckled the roof.

Later in the post they mention that it crumpled the passenger side of the car, pushed the strut towers up into the hood, ripped the tranny cross-meber out of the frame, and bent the rear diff hanger.... probably more. The car was retired obviously... and the driver was real stiff for a while... lol

Over 2 meters of air.

Oh my God that was great! Is the beast still running after all that? I have that Aussie one as my background. Kick rump roast!!

i'll never do that to my subbie again now my blazer on the other hand has seen more air time than a skateboard at the x games

I tried to jump my wagon today on the street, the rear end caught the most air, and the passenger side rear dipped and bounced alot cuz I need to put a shock in there.

the last time i tried to catch air with my legacy off a speed bump....i forgot that i had my spare trans in the back and all i saw in my rear view mirror was the trans catching air and almost hitting the roof..then a big thud!!

*note to self-never do that again*

ow

i said something like that....lucky nothing happened to the trans(landed on the tire it was sitting on)

some people carry spare axles,i had a trans...(i had to empty out the storage unit an no place to put it)finally got it out last week.

i normally don't try jumping but i figured i'd test my shocks and see if by chance i'd get air..

I had a rear control arm complete with drum and axle, two rotors and two calipers in the back when I hit that bump the other day.

I think this guy wins for style  , sure its not a subaru but i guess he might have put an ea in it?
