June 14, 200619 yr My weber is running real crappy and i was wondering where i could get a new/ rebuilt one on the net for a reasonable price? or how would i put a hitachi on there?
June 14, 200619 yr You are still better off with that weber than a hitachi. You can get rebuild kits off of ebay or the redline weber site.Good luck.
June 14, 200619 yr i am in spokane....if you need help with it i could look at if you want.....i have been through plenty of trouble with them before.have rebuilt three webers as of late and rebuilt a whole ************ load of hitachis as well.:grin:let me know...
June 15, 200619 yr Lets clarify wether your talking about the Weber 32/36 DGEV?? Or the stock 1bbl Carter/Weber? -Brian
June 15, 200619 yr Sounds like he's talking about the carter/weber - tighten the bolts on the base and it will probably be fine. GD
June 15, 200619 yr i have already done that and it did nothing. Did you tighten the vertical screws that attach the "throttle body" to the main casting? They are inacessible unless the carb is removed.I`ve found these to be a problem on the carter/webers.
June 15, 200619 yr Author yes i have taken it off and tighned those, when it is first started weather it is warm or cold out it hesitates real bad and will also hesitate a little when warm. also gas milage is real badi can maybe get away with 215 miles to a full tank. yeah its horrible
June 15, 200619 yr You still havent answered my question, but i assume your talking about the single barrel carter/weber. -Brian
