FHI were thinking of the future when they built my car

Featured Replies

How many cars have a compartment built especially for a mobile phone,... not many, especially in cars that were designed in the early 80's

Subaru did their research, and thought 20 years ahead

I was wondering who else uses this compartment and what for?

hmm... back in the day when smoking was "cool" .... but i dont smoke cigerettes or have one of those trays.

I use the compartment to keep my Plyers, that I use to pull on the wire, "that used to have a plastic handle that broke off", to pop open the hood, so I can stare at all the hoses and vacuum lines that I don't under stand. While I sit on the side of the road, wondering why my GL won't go. SC

I have a similar pocket in my Legacy which I keep my garage door opener in.

I just use a pair of needle-nose vicegrips (clipped to the hood release cable) ......then my compartments are free.....and I have a handy

place to keep the vice grips:brow:

hey the best cup holder in the world is a roll of duct tape in my jeep comanche and as for compartments knives, flashlight and change

My '78 Brat has a similar compartment in the dash as the EA82 and thats where I hid the switch for my stobe lights in the corner lights...

Well... I put there the Special Round device to check the air pressure on the Tyres... and other small stuff.

To the Cell Phone, I made a Special Harness in the Roof... behind the Mirror´s Base.

my cell phone ...now if I could just find a good spot for my ipod
