That thing is really cool. It would be really sweet if the rear gate still opens. Why didn't they make one of those from factory. haul your ATV and passengers.

An opening hatch is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw it first (in the CL/eBay forum). But the solid hatch looks like an integral part of the car's rigidity. It looks like it would be 3x more difficult to make it a functioning setup versus the welding they did. That said, it would be great for cargo capacity to open the hatch and fold down the bench.

Nice, I'm toying with doing that to my Hatch. I know somebody who put a wagon hatch on a brat, to give more interior room, but never seen a wagon chopped like that. It looks mean and rather useful.

That hack is awesome. It is welded right where I am certain wagons are the weakest/flexible. paint it/finish would be great car show candidate :)

so your the one who bought it! I was going to buy it. just didn't have extra cash. yeah i kno the guy who you bought it from. he is really cool and did alot of work on it. He knows what he's doing when it comes to cars. that is a tough little rig. Yeah my plan was to finish it with more welding and rhino lining the back. then giving it a camo paint job. but nice find. i am the one who posted it earlier. cause i was trying to help him sell it. if you live around p-town hit me up sometime to go weeling:banana:
