August 23, 200619 yr What are the major differences between 1982 DL & GL 4WD models besides the single range 4wd in the DL?
August 23, 200619 yr A DL will have a lower grade interior, i.e. seats and carpet. Instead of having a voltage and oil pressure gages in the dash, it will have dummy lights. Also DLs do not come with a Tach.
August 23, 200619 yr Author Ah thanks for the info...but i can drop a dual range in there and be good to go..nothing with the suspension is different?
August 23, 200619 yr dl's have only 2 headlights and gl's have 4 headlights. I think the older dl's (maybe the 82's) only have the 1600 where the gl has an 1800.

August 24, 200619 yr the 82 GL 4wd's had the single headlights as well. only the GL 2wd models in 82 got the quads....

August 24, 200619 yr damn that thing is ugly....and i LOVE it.. dont you remember dad's red 82 GL? That was 1800 D/R w/ single rectangular headlights. As was his old 82GL "faux woodie". The 80 1600 STD had the circular ones.
August 24, 200619 yr Author I remember them thoroughly, but I didnt know if the DL had a different suspension set up then the GL
