I GOT THE TIRES!!:clap::clap::burnout::burnout::Flame: :Flame:

Here are some pics! Hopefully I will actually be able to USE them tomarrow .

Fire danger is still high, so I dunno if I will have a chance to use them on much more than a gravel road, but here they are on the tire rack I built to hold them using the tailgate studs.

cool tires.... We've popped the tires off the red and the black buggies, but only in deep mud holes. Seems to happen when the tire hits the side of a deep hole, never lost one other than that and we wheel these two buggies hard. We put ag tires on the orange buggie, does great up and over but not so good around the side of a hill thats why the other two got 4 wheeler tires. good luck hope you get to wheel soon....

Haha, they look evil mate... I love the "side biter" tread.. So whats the tread width measure whne fitted to the wheels?

Mounted on the 14x6" nissan 2x4 wheels (same width as the atv rims they are designed for) the tires are 8.5" wide.

I found out today at like 10am  late start lol .. that I could go on the forest service roads after all on durring stage II restrictions!

So I found out there is a "primative" road called the Lolo Motorway that is part of the original trail Lewis & Clarke took through Idaho & Montana (only about 30 miles away from me!) that is a recommended "off road" trail, still officially a open forest service road so after attaching my new fire extinguisher, away I went!

Here are some pics!

Overgrown road, but no sign of road 500.

Well, nothing spectacular to drive on, but lets try those new tires!

I had no problems with the tires, running them at 19 PSI which is 1.5x the recommended pressure for the larger ATV's that run these tires (reg is 13 PSI for a 1100lb side by side ATV)

I gotta say, maybe the ATV guys/gals already know this, but man! the ride is so smooth with these! The tires take up the shock from the rocks and the washboard, logs and ditches!:clap::Flame:

Thx! What tires/size are you running and at what pressure? Are you just crawling these things or hitting them at speed?

:slobber:Those look Great!:slobber:

Awesome simply awesome

What rims are you using?

Did I miss this in the thread?

I've never lost a bead yet.

I'm running 20-26 psi depending on the season and what I'm doing.

The Aussies run 30 psi in their ATV tires.

Thanks! but really I should be thanking you for first showing it could be done!:burnout:

I'm running 6x14" nissan 2x4 wheels (6" is stock width for these atv tires) and ITP Terra Cross Tires 26 x 9R-14. The actual width of the tires is more like 8.5" mounted, but the funniest part is right on the tire is says "max air pressure for ATV 5psi - max air pressure for side by side 13psi" and "when mounting unless beads are seated do not inflate beyond 35psi of fatal explosion could result". I think anything beyond 25 psi is pushing my luck with these tires as I want to take into account increased pressure when the tire heats up from use and just hot days. I'm sure that your larger dirtdevils could take higher pressure with no problems, but IDK if 30psi with any ATV tires is a good idea. So far I think I won't be going beyond 19-20psi unless I see a need to use more. Now if I can just find that ORV trail near flathead lake!:headbang:

well how do you like them?? , got stuck yet?? got a welded diff?? Ive ran my tires as low as 5psi, but there bigger

LOVE the tires! Unfortunatly I haven't really been able to put them through their paces yet, I hope to do that tomarrow afternoon or this week-end. Most I have noticed so far is how well the absorb shock! Stuff that my old tires (bias ply swampers) would have beat me to death even with only 20psi are not tracter smooth. Washboard? what's that?:-p I don't yet have a welded diff I'm thinking of trading my lsd or just getting a second 390 to have welded (I don't have a decient wirefeed and don't trust my skills for that yet). There is a 3 or 4 rated ORV trail up near flathead lake called Blacktail that should give it a good test this weekend. Just have to make sure that I have enough clearance to make it past the "gate keeper" obstacle that is designed to keep non-lifted rigs from making it onto the trail. And it was designed for jeeps, so I'm checking it out as much as possible b4 I make the trip (gas money is getting tighter) hate to waste a trip, also the fires have died down a bit and we can see blue sky again! It was getting old working on things in the smoke!:dead:

Tomarrow I am going to find Lolo Motorway. It's some kinda road that was built in the 30's and abandoned in the late 40's or something, and should be a fun place to wheel!:burnout: All I know about it so far is I might need a permit to use it and it's mostly in Idaho approximatly 80 - 120 miles long!:slobber:
