I like those wheels, even though they are red as hell.

Ha..I like the part in the description of the air deflector where the guy could light a cigarette at 60MPH. Back in '77 the maximum speed limit in USA was 55 :brow: .

i have never seen a brat with that roll bar cover

and whats up with the woody on page 2 WHY didnt they do the front fenders

it almost gave me flash backs of the pinto

Thank you for that actually. Someone tried to tell me that the ST-X had a 3.0L four, called the EJ30. Thanks to that, I can prove them wrong :D

Way cool site, Bookmarked!

I thought the Forester was Ugly!:slobber:

What were they thinking?

Now if they'd only sell the D/R transmission in the US again...

What they were thinking was to make a woody station wagon that harkened back to the forties, and early fifties, when woodies were actually built out of wood. Not to the sixties and seventies, when the paneling was plastic and vinyl decals (a la Pinto as previously mentioned). Which is why not the front fenders.

I like it, but they shouldn't have brought the rear wheel well wood all the way down to the lip. The flare should have been metal to make it look authentic, also the spare should be mounted on the tailgate.

I would buy that Forester in a New York minute. Taste varies.

And I agree on the transmissions, if they would bring back the D/R, I would go back to a manual.

Maybe they are making it to compete with them woody wagon looking PT cruisers.

Drive magazine itself is pretty cool, I started getting in when I bought my RS, but anyone can subscribe to it for free. THey have some interesting things from time to time. They also have a performance mag too, both are quarterly I think.
