February 4, 200719 yr Where did they hide the factory CD changer in a 97 Leg wagon? I'm guessing under one of the front seats?
February 4, 200719 yr well if we were to tell you it wouldnt be hidden anymore would it? hehehehehe nipper
February 4, 200719 yr Author Oh gee thanks:dead: I know it HAD one, cause the original build sheet is still in the owner's manual. I just dunno if it STILL has one or not. The dash controls are still there. If the changer's gone I'll hunt for or make a blank plate to replace them.
February 5, 200719 yr does it look like this? (scroll down a little for a good pic in this auction) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/13-off-00-06-Subaru-Legacy-6-Disc-CD-Changer-OEM-NEW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43948QQihZ012QQitemZ220036888695QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V
February 5, 200719 yr Author No it's an old school cartridge fed unit. IIRC from the paperwork in the manual it's a pioneer. It says 6 disc changer... I think. Definately NOT an indash unit. The paperwork was from SOA, it was operating instructions. I searched the car over in any well hidden, but easily accessible places... no dice.
February 5, 200719 yr if you looked everywhere and under the seats etc then I I would say it died and was removed.
February 5, 200719 yr Yep, under the front passenger seat or already removed. I had this setup, but when the Changer went to heaven (actually resold on ebay), I replaced it w/an '04 Impreza 6-CD/cassette IN-DASH - fit perfectly....but lost the radio's clock.
February 5, 200719 yr Author Ok then I'll be hitting the yards for a black single din cubbyhole, or filler plate. Well maybe in a week or two when it gets warmer than 30F BRRRRR Thanks for the help... AND the humor To quote Mork "Humor ARR ARRR"
