March 12, 200719 yr just ran across this ... interesting ... brat on marlincrawler.com and figured I'd post it over here for you guys to ponder edit: you want the link eh? http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=31186.0
March 12, 200719 yr hahaha i like how everybody on that board is like what is that? i've never seen one of those before:grin:
March 12, 200719 yr does anybody know how good those tires are? they look like they're foe show:rolleyes:
March 12, 200719 yr Nice. BRATs are so danged cool. Maybe someday I'll own one. Those tires are Interco (Super Swamper) TrXus STS. From what I've heard, they have really good street life, but not so great mud clearance (as you can see by the lack of void between lugs). They're kind of a "mild" off-roader - a strong tire with way better street characteristics than other Super Swamper models.
March 14, 200719 yr Funny thing is, when he starts off-roading it the body is going to go crinkle! It is unavoidable. Personally, I hate to see cars like that in such nice shape, lifted. They loose their value, and i'm sure it will get dinged up eventually. Looks lilke Nice work though (on the outside) Like the jump-seat setup for sure.
March 14, 200719 yr funny , i was thinkin the same thing.... Dain']Funny thing is' date=' when he starts off-roading it the body is going to go crinkle! It is unavoidable. March 15, 200719 yr it is possible to wheel without body damage.although sooner or later... Possible, I suppose...but not probable.
March 15, 200719 yr To wheel without doing body body damage and/or not getting stuck means you are not trying hard enough. del
March 15, 200719 yr To wheel without doing body body damage and/or not getting stuck means you are not trying hard enough. del 2 seperate things. I frequently would push my wagon to the absolute limit, sometimes getting stuck too, without doing any body damage. in fact, pretty much the only time I did any serious body damage, was either doing something stupid, or wheeling in the snow (off camber, sliding sideways into a tree). although, I agree, I don't want to see it get bashed up. hopefully he's somewhat careful with it.
