March 13, 200719 yr So I was watching Emergency Vets of something on the animal channel (I gotta get out more), and the uniforms come to rescue some poor dog who's got his head stuck thru the hub hole of a subject automobile rim. And I was all excited because I recognized it was a Subaru wagon wheel (my wife and kids weren't impressed). His neck was all swollen and couldn't pull out, so they had to cut apart the rim with a Sawsall. Maybe that observation should be in the 'you know you're a Subaru Geek when...' thread.
March 13, 200719 yr You said it... You need to get out more... I can tell a Subaru a block away just by the sound. I need to get out more:eek:
March 13, 200719 yr I saw the same episode (and felt really bad for the dog) And yes........ You do need to get out more. nipper
March 14, 200719 yr A wagon wheel? It seems to me that most Sube wagon wheels wouldn't have big enough openings to put even a small dog's head through...which leads to my question - was it a Jackman?
March 14, 200719 yr I'm thinking that it would have been easier and faster to saw the dog, plus you wouldn't ruin the wheel. Just rinse it off when yer done. Remember the scene from mad max?: Max: The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel. It'd take you ten minutes to hack through it with this. Now, if you're lucky, you could hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go. [the hacksaw is dropped next to The Kid, and Max limps off] classic, but seriously, I'm a dog-lover. Now, if that were a cat...
March 15, 200719 yr I seen this a few months ago when it aired and also posted a corresponding thread. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=67962
