Great buy. I wish you the very best of luck with it as well as many years of ownership. I'm pushing 187K on my '91 Legacy wagon and it's still one of the best cars I've ever owned.

Thanks Ed. I'm really looking forward to not getting my money's worth out of AAA ;)

you definitly won't have that problem :) But i think the timing belt is due. because after all these years, it probably deteriated, and the older design belts were made to last i belive like 80k. Or less.

Yep, I hear that! My 90 is pushing 285,000! Original engine was replaced and I don't know when or how many miles the old one had nor how many the new one has. But I replaced the 4EAT myself and it's got 150,000 on it. It's from a 94 legacy.

She's a 93, and yes the engine bay is spotless and the interior is mint. Even the visors are nice and springy ;). I don't have the maintenace records, but was told (and trust) that it had it's oil changed religously and the 30k service done on time. And it only took me one day of my 80 mile commute to decide that an automatic isn't such a bad thing afterall. Oh! It has cupholders!!! As a long time GL driver :headbang: for cupholders!

mtsmiths- I can't wait for thoes wheels!!!

Well, then those people are rather stupid to pay that much for a car with 200k.

ERICEM's from Ontario so I think he's referring to KM (not miles) and CDN buck (85 cent US).

Also the price varies depending where you are. Check out what 1st gen Legacys go for in British Columbia....

ya, its crazy the prices there, i forgot when i saw it, but a 92 legacy in the same condition as my car sold on ebay in BC for $9000+ CDN. Pretty crazy, totally stock just very clean, nothing so clean, that i could not do with my car.
