zyewdall
4WD manual EA81 wagon, running good, stock tires, I get between 24mpg and 29mpg usually.
GeneralDisorder
Pretty typical. My Brat and my EA82 sedan (both Webered at one time) average 26 to 29 in a pretty religious way with a mix of about 2/3rds freeway/hiway and 1/3rd city. Less in the summer due to hot, expanded fuel. 4WD manuals are just geared like that. The 2WD manuals generally can get up around 32 or so. My wagon, when it was a 2WD 5 speed, once averaged over 34 on a mostly freeway trip of about 600 miles. GD

Hondasucks
I used to get 27 city and 36-41 highway out of my 83 GL-10, 2WD 5 speed... I don't miss the gutlessness but I do miss the fuel mileage! (Although it did eat many a Civic...)
Andy FitzGibbon
I got my '85 GL 4X4 with a Weber up to 29 on my last highway trip. I don't check town mileage much but it seems to get in the same range as everyone else (25-28). Andy
smelly_cat
Since i parked it under a tree in 98 and Got it runnin in 2006, I have not even looked at the plugs.. I did rebuild the carb. what a mess that was. I also have never set the valves. what do ya think? Should the valves need a tweak ?
