Need Good Advice for Sale of 85 Brat

Featured Replies

I'm looking to sell a Brat and would like to know where I can find an on-line place to display to collectors? Something better than ebay motors as I believe that is not specialty specific for this special model vehicle. Someone may know of a brat forum or collectors site where I can post to persons who may be looking for my Brat...?

No way its in california so it closer to me so I should get it!!

PS I wouldnt mind it...assuming its in good shape, low miles etc...

The first piece of advice is to get a REAL picture of the vehicle. Pay for one if you have to. The picture will sell the car.

eBay motors reaches some 20+ million people, if you think you can get better coverage than that... I would definitely try to sell the vehicle locally and through free services first, like Craigslist and Subaru forums like this one. But eBay will find the most potential buyers the quickest.

Just how much of a special/collectors vehicle do you think a brat is?

Not really trying to be rude about it, but is it factory gold plated or something?

I don't know about the original poster's brat, but I just saw one here in the Central Valley that only has 75,000 miles on it. It has a few small dings, but it's a "shine and drive" '85 unit. If someone does want a long term keeper this is the type to get. Read the Rust Threads, then tell me what a clean, no rust, low milage unit is worth. I don't know, but I wouldn't sell mine for what I paid for it. I would want double at least.

Thats cool - I appreciate a well kept old car. I appreciate their value. I was just curious what made his brat too good for one of the largest selling mechanisms the world has ever known.

I think that here in WA, anfter 25 years, a car can become a collector's vehicle. Means you buy the plate saying so, and then no more tabs. 2 more years for 2 of my vehicles. lol
