They were such an awesome car that the name had to live on...

I too think it a radiator issue, I've read somewhere of hg issues on the non turbo cars in 05 as well.

I spend plenty of time tooling around in the Co mountains and have never had an issue. I make sure to get my money’s worth out of my turbo so if it was a boost issue I would have found it! I have managed to find some pretty steep hills out here too. Done them in traffic and at well above the speed limit.

Was yours an early or late 2005 model year purchase?

June, not sure of the build date though.

I know it has the stinky clutch which was fixed in later 05 models.

So that would make it an april or may car.

A good test is if you can put it on a dyno and test it there. Dyno's can put more load on the car than just about anything else.

No signs of overheating on mine, and I ocassionally pull a trailer (2200lbs) - longest trip from Texas to the Twin Cities in June of 05. Car was manufactured in 06/04.

bought mine in nov 05, been on plenty of steep uphills...never had the issue he mentions. at least not yet. i have 19.5k miles on it now.

No overheating here, and i'm not exactly running a stock setup. I've never had any problems in traffic, running it hot, and hard, temp gauge never moves from the middle :-p
