I would call and find out if they are still avalible. Chances are, if they are avalible, the dealer may not still keep them in stock and would have to order it.

 

That was my initial thought as well, just wanted to save myself some trouble since I got laughed at when calling about a blank key for an EA81 once. :eek:

Key blanks for all the older Subarus (including EA81) are still available from a good locksmith. Sadly, they all say Nissan!:eek: But if it's a choice between a new key and an old worn one, I know which I'd go for. Most dealers can get you the key code from the VIN# if they no longer cut the keys themselves.

 

I had a new one cut by my favorite parts guy in Auburn, WA recently from the VIN# for our '91 Legacy wagon.

 

Local hardware store then cut me some spares using a DA25 key blank. Doesn't say Subaru, but doesn't say Nissan either. :)

You just mean, a blank key for a first gen legacy??

 

Just had one made here today cause bended mine:confused: and didnt wana riske having it breaking of in the steering wheel. Costs were 6 euros including cutting to my model.

This is around 9 dollars. If you really need one and get any send a personal message.
