Is anyone using water methanol injection on theor EA82T ?

Featured Replies

Oldsmobile used water injection on their turbocharged high compression 1962 or maybe it was 1963 aluminum block V8 from the factory. The compression ratio was somewhere around 10:1 or 11:1...I think.

I'm sure it would work IF you set it up properly AND don't forget to keep water in the reservoir.

Edit: See http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1962-1963-oldsmobile-f85-jetfire.htm

Had I been modding an EA82T now, versus 3 years ago. Yes, I would use it. Some of the setups out now have very advanced controllers, boost switches, timing retard, etc...

Ive read about this in a mustang 5.0 and superfords mag. the person that got it done to his car said it ran alot cooler than with out it. its pretty much like the Cryo2 system except it is injected into the engine than run through piping to cool engine componets. i would surely use it

Subarutex yes things have come a long way in the control dept .

I've read that you really need programmable management for the engine to get the most from WMI .

Hey Adrian

Have you checked out this new system on Autospeed.com

There are also another Autospeed system too The H2O Way Part 1

I am curious about water injection myself, but dont have the time/resources to experiment with it

Gannon the big thing is the WMI's control system , the most effective versions use either manifold pressure signal or 0-5v MAF sensor output to regulate the WM switch/ramp functions .

Actually no, the best ones use Fuel injector duty cycle to calculate the water/meth ratios
