Will these fit on my 1996 impreza outback sport?

 

My obs has 185/70/14 stock size alloys on it now.

 

 

That's the stock size on an RS. So yes.

Sweet! I already bought em. I couldn't pass up the deal. $100 for 4 with the nokian WR tires.

 

I figured if they didn't fit my OBS I'd put em on the 06 impreza 2.5i

yeah that stock size is fine.

 

there are clearance issues with stock 06 forester turbo wheels/tires. 16" wheels still, but they have just a tad different tire size (i forget what it is). they rub in the rear of a stock OBS of your vintage. i bought a set for my XT6 and tried them out on my OBS. they also rub front XT6 air struts, though stock WRX size you're talking about fits fine, but that was easily remedied by just bending the dust shield for the air bags a tiny amount.

I can also add, yes they work fine. I have put wrx wheels on an OBS several times.

The rims will fit fine. That size tire is scary; I mounted that rim with that size tires and was amazed how little clearance there was between the tire and the rear strut. They didn't rub, but I took them off to be safe.

My brother in law has that size tire on his 97 or so OBS and it's been fine, never rubs. They have been on there years with no issues.

Yeah man, got them on my RS and 91 Legacy. I noticed a difference when I put them on my Legacy.

Gary I'm gonna hang on to the old rims and probably use them for snow tires.

 

My obs does handle a lot better now with the wider lower profile tires. I definately feel a difference! No rubbing either.

 

The 2006 2.5i in front of my OBS is the wifeys ride. We bought it new. 2 more years of $421 a month payments. :-\ Payments $uck! That'll probably be our last new car ever.
