From past experience, I would have the radiator checked. I glogged radiator will dump the coolant out the overflow. If it is the radiator, it would be a good time to get a new radiator cap also. Change your coolant to use only Subaru approved coolant, it is not cheap, but with help to keep the problem from coming back.

ok, so I replaced the Radiator with a brand new one, metal w/ plastic side tanks from autozone(only place that had it stock) other wise I would of gotten it from performance radiator heard that theirs is all metal. wonder if it is true?

so the water temp gauge goes UP for 10 min then back to normal temp, not the Tstat sorry about that. did that 2 times so far.

I am not blowing white smoke out.

(so it is an internal leak, very slow)

replaced the heater core hoses and upper, lower radiator hoses.

was gonna change the Tstat but didnt cause a prob.

the over heating was cause the radiator cracked first time. Second time was cause the upper radiator hosed cracked.

Overheated 6 months ago. replaced radiator, heater core hoses, upper and lower radiator hoses. BUT NOT TSAT.

live in apt so cant really take the tsat out and put in hot water.
