The only thing i do not like about this cb is that it doesnt have the weather band stations. But i like the clean slick look. it would provide if it fits where i want.

Well, if you want weather band, just get a stereo that has that tuner! :-p

And some of the 96-99 limited outbacks had that capability, it you want to

stick with subaru only

Width looks right, but how deep/long is it? I would check how deep the hole for the ashtray is and then look at how long the CB is

 

if it would fit, I'd get one! "I don't have the ashtray, just a hole where it gos :("

 

Now your making me want a CB!

PS: Can you post a link to where you found that CB? I want to look into it more

pretty sure it will be too deep, the back end will have the power wires and socket for the antenna. Where is the speaker for it, front side or back

and the knobs stick out, no more first gear, 3rd, and 5th.

Thats exactly where i want to put my CB lol, just need to find a screwdriver bent 90 degrees at the end so i can get the clip thing off.

Actually, I believe that's one of the best places for a cb.

No worries about the mic hitting you in the head when you go over a bump...

I think I may install a cb in my brat now...

Yea i am awsome arent i. But if it wont fit in there then i wont get one. The thing about my ashtray is that, 1 i dont use it and 2 it slides out when i hit the gas hard so phhaa i dont need it. I bet it would be deep enough to fit but i need to measure at least now deep that hole is before i go spoutin out clames of the foutain of youth.

I plan to put a HAM radio in my Brat. It has a removable face so I can mount the radio under the seat and just the face on the dash. I don't have to worry about the depth.

I am really doubting that it will fit in the ashtray. Those radios are a bit longer. You could do a little cutting and make it fit.

 

And man, it really sucks when the ashtray falls out, especially if you use it for an ashtray.
