  2. I mean - I'm not really seeing the downside here..... the 3AT's haven't had any parts support for a while. Trans shop came to us for an oil pump drive shaft and one of my guys had to dig through his scrap pile to find some that the splines were only half chewed off so they could put a Loyale back on the road for some elderly couple. This just means more manual swaps. GD

  5. So the beater challenge is complete and the Gl-10 treated me pretty great. Had a few over heating issues, rad was in rough shape so this was expected in the tough mountain climbs so had to keep her outta boost on the really steep stuff. Plus found out that the spring on the rad cap was pretty warn out and was releasing pressure at WAY to low of temp, wasn't anywhere near release pressure when the engine would get a coolant bath, made for some drama though. We did a few logging and ATV roads that the GL-10 pretty much destroyed the other cars on which was pretty fun. even got 2nd place on the drag race (added intercooler and upped boost to 10psi which helped). Have a look at our facebook page for the play by play and we will be adding a 4 part mini series video once we finish editing in a few weeks. www.facebook.com/jalopalooza

  6. 3. Trans-X will fix the delayed engagement into drive issue. 1. The tick almost sounds like the front diff is making noise. Or the inner CV joints possibly - are the boots intact or are they aftermarket axles? Or are you positive this is an engine noise? 2. Rumble - describe better - does it do it once for one second or prolonged, does it go away, does it every time or just sometimes give us hard data on it Stand by the engine bay while someone else starts it - where’s it coming from ? 4. Brakes - easy - clean, regressed slides with Sil Glyde and throw the slide pin bushings away. Then flush the brake fluid.

  7. try to drain some trans fluid; use a clean drain pan/container, put a quart of water in it, mark or make note of the level, dump and dry it. pull the plug on the trans, put plug back in after you drain a quart (yeah, it will be messy - you could use a transfer pump and suck fluid up the dipstick tube) put in a bottle of Trans-X, check the trans level, if still a little low, you have some fluid in your new clean container you can use to top-off.
