  1. You need to remove the heat shield first , then its 6 bolts. I would change out the whole thing. I have bought several used take off drivelines over the years , run around $100 so far not one has come back.
  2. A lot of that is going to depend on what you are going to use it for, and what your level of mechanical aptitude is. It's an excellent little car, as long as you have something else to drive while you find parts, and you are able to do the work yourself. If you are trying to use it as a one and only daily, and can't fix it, then well..... not so much. Good luck! Dan
  3. One of mine made a ticking sound under similar circumstances. I always thought it might be speedometer cable related. Never went after it.
  4. have you tried having someone push down on hood while trying to release using the cable?
