Before you replace the fuel pump, check the CTS. Coolant Temperature Sensor. It can fail in a state where it tells the ECU the engine is cold, and the ECU will send too much fuel to run when hot. No code, unless the sensor goes way out of valid reading range. Also, fuel pump is NLA, so you are looking at custom fitting a generic FI pump.2 points

1 pointHi everyone, new here. Got a 85 gl wagon with a ea 82. It was running but not well wouldn't start easily. Turns out the choke was no good. After reasech here I decided to go manual for now till I ej22 swap. Use factory choke hole to the left of the steering wheel and opening in firewall. Now it starts and after warming up I can open it up and itll idle and now I can drive it! Yay. I will upload pictures.1 point

1 pointIt's an inductive pickup. It doesn't require any input power. You need an oscilloscope to monitor the waveform and also the cam angle sensor and then check for correlation. A multimeter is useless for testing this sensor. GD1 point

That’s a normal level of operating temp - it’s the point where your fans kick in. My brumby does the same, and with the mid 30*C weather we’re having already atm, it’s there all the time when sitting in traffic, once moving it usually drops back down. I’ll grab a couple of pics over the next few days to show normal running temp and thermo fan kick in point. Cheers Bennie1 point

1 pointThanks forester2002s. Ok I read things over again and now understand that I have to get the `receiving end from a VDC H6, 2000 to 2004 sedan or wgn. . There are 2 sedans and One wgn in my local pick and pull. So i think my odds are good. Thanks again to everyone.1 point
