  1. They were a marketing tool for the BRAT when it was launched. Could win one in a raffle and eventually I think you could buy them.
  2. A normal good-running NA engine will throw about 190 compression in the car. After sitting I would expect it to be lower. As long as they are even the number doesn't matter. If I pulled a cold compression from an engine that had sat on a shelf I wouldn't be surprised to see all of them around 100. GD

  5. No, we're not welding on Fox shocks. We use a lot of Fox parts but many of the parts are custom machined and fabricated. If you start here you can see how they're put together: https://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/144953-long-travel-outbacks-or-making-subarus-faster-and-more-reliable-offroad/?page=25&tab=comments#comment-1355228 If you're using a-arm suspension just use threaded body coilover shocks - Fox, King, etc. Depending on what you're doing with it I would look into some of the position sensitive single shock options - internal bypass (IBP) or coilpass (bypass tubes above coil springs). Otherwise most offroad racers run two shocks per corner, one is basically just a coil carrier with a little damping and the other has external bypass tubes.
  6. You can also buy used OEM remotes in good condition on eBay or Amazon for very little money.
  7. Search Google using the FCC ID code on the back. You can find generic compatible remotes for pretty cheap online. Anything that matches the FCC ID will work. Usually see deals for 2 remotes for $50-$60 or so. GD
