  2. Got it seated. Turns out the smaller diameter shaft sticking out of the transmission of the two in one style input shaft was the problem. It itself wasn't seated properly and was preventing everything from being recessed the way it was all supposed to be. Thanks for all the kind words all.
  3. USDM 2.5 is decent IF it gets turbo-style headgaskets(and maybe new timing system parts). Dunno what you got in OZ though.
  4. I would check with a collision center/body shop. I bet they deal with stuff like that a lot.
  5. no, it does not prevent it from starting... the procedure to clear the codes does require the car to run with those connected. @Steptoe's photos - disconnect the battery for about 30 mins or so - that will clear any stored codes that is the only other way of doing it to my knowledge
