  1. Old wagon!? I'll have you know my '97 wagon is only 126K miles old. As in real life, old is just a state of mind.
  2. You're right about that. My problem will be which to order and which one to use for my desktop to replace the white Impreza.
  3. I can't contain myself. Here's a collection of USMB regulars playing at the rallycross. Qman, Zap, edrach, and jrach (with friend). See if you can identify the people (cars are easy). http://www.pdxsports.com/photos/showindex.asp?folder=rxrequests Thank you Wayne Flynn Photography.
  4. Here are a bunch of funky cellphone videoclips. http://www.brokenvaporware.com/rallycross20070505/
  5. This was a very different course for Paul and it required more attention to the correct line than usual. I was under the same dark cloud as you were. But it was a learning experience and still a blast to drive. The pix from Wayne are quite "alive" compared to past events.
  6. Mary, I have a few Oregon friends; if they can get them up to me, I can get them to you. I'll let you know. How much of a rush are you in?
  7. Some awesome shots from Wayne Flynn. Really gets down to how competitive this weekend was. http://www.pdxsports.com/photos/showindex.asp?folder=20070505RX
  8. From Travis: Hey all, I have my pictures up for all those interested. http://shutterdriven.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=2596 ...I have the pictures broken up in morning/afternoon session and then one for my favorites which is also for people not wanting to wade through the 300+ pix I took . I hope I got a decent shot of everyones car, you can copy the low res shots off the page and if you would like to buy high rez prints/high rez digital copies, let me know or buy on the page Travis
  9. Final results for the Regional event this weekend.: http://www.oregonrally.com/files/RX_5_6_2007_Regional.pdf
  10. Fnal results for the National event: http://www.oregonrally.com/files/RX_May_2007_National.pdf
  11. Day 1, unofficial for now but accurate as far as I know. http://www.oregonrally.com/files/RallyCross_5_5_2007_Day_1_Unofficial.pdf.pdf Perfect weather, great course (long and challenging); two practice runs and 5 timed runs after that; it couldn't be better. Well not going off course twice would have helped me.
  12. Great event this weekend. I'll post results when I find them and a small write-up after I get some sleep if qman doesn't beat me to it.
  13. You're right about 350 ft-lbs. Won't hurt the bearings but might break something else. I've always tightened them past 175 to be sure they were on there "good 'n tight." The point is the only critical thing here is if they are too loose.
  14. Both sides are standard right handed threads. 145 ft-lbs to tighten, but you can use more if you like.
  15. Cd45 has it right. Pry the strut down with a large screwdriver so you can install the bolt. It's also possible that the shaft has pulled out of the joint at the transmission end; that would require replacing the axle again.
  16. Glad to see you back; nice to hear from you between trips.
  17. There was one link on the weather thing that gave hourly precipitation numbers for the previous 24 hours but I can't find it again.
  18. I've been watching it for the last two days and I'm pretty sure it's been off and on raining, especially at night. Plus judging from Ben's pics of the field before they bull-dozed it, the field is still pretty soggy from the previous month's rain.
  19. You could search craigslist for Peugeot parts and hope to find a good used set of tires.
  20. From Ben B: Well, there are good news and bad news items to report about temporary SCCA memberships for this coming weekend's Oregon Region/ORG national/divisional RallyCross. The good news is that there will be no charge for temporary memberships, so pretty much anyone who wants to can run the national/divisional event. It is valid for 90 days. The bad news is that contingency programs won't kick in with these. You have to be an SCCA member, with a membership number, to be eligible for contingency payouts. One can join SCCA online ahead of the event, or Pego from the SCCA Rally Department will be there on Saturday with membership forms, and one can join then. But to be eligible for contingency money, one has to be an actual (not temporary) SCCA member. One can accrue points on a temporary membership, at least for 90 days, but if you are going to run for a championship, one has to join SCCA. Similarly, since the RallyCross National Championship event in Nebraska is a national championship, one must be an actual SCCA member to participate in that event. Apologies for the late clarification. Ben
  21. The Pug 390 rim is a METRIC 15" rim and is about 15.3 to 15.5 size and a regular 15" tire will not fit. Michelin was the only manufacturer that made the 390 series tires but others might have made some. As far as I know Michelin is the only manufacturer that still might have metric size tires. Be sure you're sitting when you get a price quote.
  22. Here's the long range weather report for Hillsboro, OR. http://www.wunderground.com/US/OR/Hillsboro.html
  23. With that mileage, when's the last time you had the fuel filter changed? I always believe in checking the easy things first.
