First Rallycross of the season for ORG--RESULTS POSTED--More pics added
This Sunday, March 25th, is the first ORG rallycross of the 2007 season! I am excited to announce that this year will be the best rallycross season ever that the ORG has conducted. We have made improvements to the program such as a new TAG timing system that will debut at the May rallycross, committees to help with better organization to make the events run smoother and on-time, Black Sun Racing Services will be available at all the rallycrosses with snacks and tire/vehicle services, and ORG rallycross T-shirts that will soon be available. Even if you've never been to a rallycross, it will be a memorable event to attend. The National Rallycross Achievement award will also be present as a reminder that we are the "national standard" that every other rallycross program looks up to. This is a great achievement and 2007 will even be a better year to come. I would like to get a head count of everyone who will be available to volunteer some time at the rallycross on Sunday. No experience necessary, all help is greatly appreciated. I will need: Set-up crew Registration Timing/scoring Tech inspectors Possible water truck driver/operator Someone that likes speaking in front of crowds to help with both drivers meetings Please contact me via email if you are able to help or contribute in this weekend's event. See you Sunday! April Smith Rallycross Manager. April's email is asrmotorsports@yahoo.com If you want to see quality rallycross, run for the first time, spectate or just plain see what it's about you won't have a better opportunity than this Sunday in Hillsboro, OR. http://www.oregonrally.com/Event_Detail.cfm?EventID=506 http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=hillsboro%2C+OR

PRG event a great success for USMB members--RESULTS ADDED
Yesterday's PRG rallycross at the ORV park was a ball! Lots of rain prior to the event made for a slippery course even before the rain started after lunch. Three runs before the lunch break and two after made the 30 or so entrants very happy. A seemingly simple course looked to be lightening fast but the awkward placing of some huge dirt piles were a subtle distraction and prevented taking the "easy" line. Qman and Zapar were first and second in M4 class in Qman's super Impreza with about a 1 second spread in a 5 run total. Jrach was third in M4 in my Impreza (lucky for me he wanted to run Modified). Cfwdfw and I were one and two in the P4 class with a 6 second spread for the total. All of us were helped by having the right tires for the muddy conditions. My Silverstone Mudders were just awesome. Anyone get any good photos?

Hello New Gen!
edrach replied to Sister7's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXGreat buy. I wish you the very best of luck with it as well as many years of ownership. I'm pushing 187K on my '91 Legacy wagon and it's still one of the best cars I've ever owned.

Why replace flywheel w/clutch?
edrach replied to aaulick's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI generally replace the flywheel at the same time but it's just a matter of saving time. If I have a flywheel ready to go, I don't lose a day sending it out to have it turned. Plus there are no nasty surprises which will delay the repair which a bad flywheel will do. It also has the added advantage of replacing the mainseal at the same time if it's needed. If the old flywheel is good, I can have it turned for the next time I do a clutch.

Both foglights not working, dash indicator still lit
edrach replied to SubaruForDan's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhich car do you have and which foglights? Replacing the bulbs is different for the two versions of foglights on the early models of Impreza. If they are stock and not aftermarket foglights, you have to remove them from the bumper bracket to be able to get to the back of the housing, remove the back cover, and then get to the bulbs for replacement.

ORG gets national recognition for 2006 RallyX series
From the ORG Times: "In other national news Oregon Rally Group's RallyCross program was named the Gold Standard by the Sports Car Club of America, receiving the trophy for best RallyCross program in the country. Congratulations go out to ORG RallyCross Director April Smith and her committee for this prestigious award." Having run all of last year's events but one, I can only agree that this recognition is well deserved. My hat's off to April and the entire group who worked so hard putting up a fine series.

Moosens the Man..aka Rockys Down Again
As said before, the AAA Plus plan is the one to get; they'll tow 100 miles before charging extra. I have towing on my comphrehensive insurance which is good for 10 miles. For a short distance tow I use my insurance policy; anything else gets AAA.

Be careful what you wish for. Apparently another Pineapple Express system is heading for the NW!

Moosens the Man..aka Rockys Down Again
Glad to hear you made it home okay Connie. Best of luck with the repairs. AAA is the real deal. I've had it for years and wouldn't be without it. I first bought it years ago when I was on the road a lot and I didn't want my wife to have to deal with getting the car home safely. Since then I've discovered it's useful for me and my three sons. It's worth every penny of the annual fee.
