1stsubaruparts.com/Mike Scarff Subaru of Auburn
I'll second that, Jason is super good at what he does. I haven't ordered quite as much as snowman over the years, but I'd guess I'm approaching $2000 by now.

Who me? Just remember, don't talk to Bill Price! I'm trying to figure out how to schedule some work in Spokane the week before the next one.

Anyway to R&R idler pulleys ?
edrach replied to tuner-automotive's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIf you are very careful you can remove the seals, clean out the old grease and re-pack them and then replace the seals. I know it can be done, but the last timing belt job I did, I just replaced them with new. Somehow, I didn't trust the re-packing thing.

Snow rallycross in Spokane this weekend
It kills me that I couldn't make this work for me this past weekend. Located just outside of Spokane, WA. This looks like too much fun. Four runs and this is the first one at around 3 and a half minutes! Very unique technique crossing the finish line. http://www.roundthebendmotorsports.com/2006/rc120906/asnwrallyx1_320.wmv

Impreza wagon questions
edrach replied to SOUTHBAYeric's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI can't offer a suggestion for your automatic transmission other than a manual tranny will give you about 15% better gas mileage; and a clutch to replace periodically. I currently have 180K on my Legacy wagon and the manual tranny is just fine. As to the Impreza, great car and I would recommend it highly. I would not get anything newer than 1996 since all models came with interference engines starting in 1997.

Snow over tarmac race - Spokane Sat/Sun
I thought I could make this since I was returning from Hamilton, MT through Spokane. But it would have meant a day "sitting on my butt" today that I couldn't justify so I bagged it. Besides, I didn't notice the little item about a Dec. 6th registration deadline until yesterday (the 7th). I think they would have still let me in, but I didn't want to chance it.

Brat ignition problem
This is off the wall, but any possibility that they gave you the wrong key? Usually, putting pressure on the wheel in one direction and then the other is enough to free up the ignition lock and allow the key to be turned.

Anyone know FlyB0y?
Anyone know FlyB0y well enought to know his real name or 'phone number. I know he lives in Hamilton, MT and I'm trying to reach him before I leave for there on Monday. It looks like his computer has dropped out again since he hasn't been on the Board for a while. Drop me a PM with any information you might have. Thanks.

Who's going to Wild West?
Here's another update for workers on WW: 2006 Wild West rally plan B Simpson/Green Diamond has pulled the road use permit for the rally. The first notification of this decision came Monday and as you can imagine, the committee has been scrambling to find alternative roads while our appeal was pending, with unfortunately no success. We don't yet know if our 11th hour appeal to the President of the company will succeed. This message is being sent with the assumption that our appeal will not be successful. I will send a e-mail to all if we get the roads. If so go to your originally assigned Rendezvous point. If you do not receive such notice or if you were not already assigned to a stage captain/rendezvous, meet at the ORV at 7:30 AM. You can be deployed to the woods from there in the events the woods are available. Unless you hear differently, we will be implementing the following Plan B. Friday events will proceed as scheduled. The press stage will be held on Rick Schmelling’s property located on SE Ellis Rd.(directions below). Saturday, all stages will be at the ORV park. All workers will be admitted to the park for free, but are encouraged to bring a toy for “Toys for Tots” who will be collecting toys at the Park. Workers may enter the park and sign the waivers and get your wristbands and T-shirts beginning at 07:30 AM. Enter through the service crew gate. Sunday, all stages will be at the Pacific Raceways in Kent. The schedule of events for Sunday will be announced Saturday at the ORV park. Directions: Press stage: From Olympia take exit 105 from I-5 west toward Aberdeen/Ocean Beaches. In 6 miles, bear right onto Hwy 101 N toward Shelton. Turn right (east) from Hwy 101 onto Lynch Rd at Taylor Towne (approximately 1 mile N of the Hwy 108/Casino exit). Drive 2.7 miles and turn left onto Cole Rd. In 0.7 miles turn right onto SE Ellis Rd. In approximately 0.3 miles turn left through a big yellow gate. Straddle-line ORV Park: From Olympia take exit 105 from I-5 west toward Aberdeen/Ocean Beaches. In approximately 15 miles (about 1 mile west of MP 12 (numbers count down)) turn left into the park. Workers enter through the Service crew gate. Pacific Raceways: Take Exit 142 A from I-5 in Federal Way onto Hwy 18. In about 10 miles follow the signs to Pacific Raceway. Originally posted by John Nispel -Erik Lyden

Where can I buy a Hitachi distributor for a Brat?
Sadly, Kerry is out of business. I'm with GD on Philbin.

1986 Brat - 14,000 Orig. Miles
Absolutely gorgeous Brat. My favorite color too. My advice before it's too late, get a professional appraisal done and get it insured for replacement value ($10K is not excessive IMHO). Go to one of the companies that insures classic cars for full value; your insurance company would likely limit its value around $3K (if you are lucky). Best of luck with whatever you do with it; it is certainly one of a kind.

Hatch Patrol's 6th? annual X-mas Tree Run to Greenwater !!UPDATE!!
REI Lynnwood seems to have them but I don't know how many. I picked up three there today. Be careful since they try to make money by selling you a map of the area. Nice to have but not necessary.

1986 Brat - 14,000 Orig. Miles
Check ebay and see what Brats are going for these days. So far the highest sold price I've seen has been $7300. Yours could be worth more on ebay; not likely to get that price here; if it's blue, ask for bratsrus1 and what he thinks it's worth. I found this in our ebay/CL forum. $8K starting bid, but no bidders as yet; sounds like the wrong way to go about selling it.

Hatch Patrol's 6th? annual X-mas Tree Run to Greenwater !!UPDATE!!
Either the National Forest office in Enumclaw or the REI in Lynnwood. According to the Seattle REI (which doesn't have them) the Bellingham REI carries them, but I'd call first. Tree permits are $10 each.
