  4. ok after a long saga of trying to find carb base gaskets for my 84 wagon i found them at napa....the trick is what i didnt know is that they really didnt order me 84 hitachi's they orders 85's im pretty sure that they are ea82's....im not holding them in my hand YET but i should have them by monday. so my question is, will ea82 base gaskets work for ea81's?

  10. dammit that sucks....hey if u guys are interested i found a site thate sells webers brand new for 230 bucks w/ free shipping... carbsunlimited.com i think is the site name..if thats not it just tyoe in weber carbs in ebay and its down at the bottom where the buy it new things are and look for a similar named site.
  11. mine must be a dude car then too....ive got all the little things and a removed intake stud and it keeps goin( with some horrible idle issues)
  12. my light comes on rite when i sart it but once i give it gas (kick it out of idle) it goes off...it is gettin to be there for new brakes:banana:

  14. thanks, well that brushguard is just a smaller version of the standard and supposedly it just bolts rite up...i bought it like this with all the good stuff. :headbang:

  16. i was wondering how to replace the cable too. i just didnt feel like posting it cuz i really had no idea of what i was doing...it says to remove the bottom left side of the dash...i got confused.....does anybody have pic of the panel u remove/ where in the intrument cluster its located? thanks -D:banana:

  21. thats what i wanted to do but i didnt want it to happen like this...webers are expensive....and i dont think i want to put all this stuff on an engine w/ 230k on it.....god dammit im really pissed :mad: :mad:
  22. yup...the bolt that holds down the carb that comes out of the top of the intake manifold is coming out when i tightened it down....i think im screwed rite there....do i need a new intake manifold now? :mad:
  23. alrite well this is what i think it is...........i saw that the leak was still there and when i sprayed it at the base of the carb....near the gasket between the carb and the intake. there it was....so i was tightening it up the bolt nut wasnt tightening down...it was extracting the bolt that bolts it to the intake..... should i just take off the carb.?
