I would suggest getting another set of cheap wheels and putting different tires on them for summer and just switch them out when the seasons change. Eventually you will save some money.

Change the thermostat first thing. New thermostat will cost you maybe around $15 dollars. There an easy swap and will save you alot of headache from blown headgaskets. If that don't work next thing is the radiator. You do these things and are still having trouble, come back to the forum and we can go from there.
