I found this out the hardway once. I had rotated my tires the previous day and didnt do the whole re-torque thing after putting them back on. Took a twenty mile drive and had to pull over at one point cause the wheels were shaking so bad. If I would have drove for another 5 miles I am convinced that they would have fallen off.

I guess keep a lug wrench with ya and when you get something done that involves taking the wheels off after the G.E.D recipients get done with their thing, tighten them yourself in the parking lot. Then go raise hell.

Its cool, mine is the chrome screw thing that isnt made for anyone to open with ease. Swapped them out just a few minutes ago, two screws is all it is. Mikeshoup: I got your back if you ever need it.

I recently purchased a new fuel door for my brat to replace the one on there that is currently showing it's fair share of rust. What steps do I go about removing this beast and putting the new one back on?

I still don't see the point in putting V-8's in alot of things. They suck gas and are overrated as bad as charlie brown's christmas special.

Anytime someone claims to make better fuel mileage the government has to investigate it to see if its true or not. Yet again, I refer Mythbusters, I am pretty sure they tested this one and found it to be false.

My hatchback still to this day stinks on the inside. I tried everything including burning incense with the windows rolled up. It could be one of them things your gonna have to deal with. Its part of owning a car this old. You want new car scent? Go buy a neon.

Although I don't understand the point in busting up a good front end. Like you, I can spot a Subaru from a mile away; even underneath several inches of frozen precipitation.

I think you should contact Subaru about that. They recently had a BRAT in their drive magazine that was one if not the first to roll of the assembly line. They may consider buying it back from you to add to their own collection.

Did you keep the automatic tranny?

Was flipping through the channels just now and caught part of a dog rescue that was stuck in a wheel. The dog stuck wasn't what caught my attention, it was the fact that it was in an older gen 4 lug white spoke wheel. It was stuck in the center of it and couldnt seem to get back out. It almost made me cringe when they cut the wheel into several pieces to get it out. The show was Backyard Habitat and if anyone can catch a repeat it would worth the watch just for the old subaru part to be in the spotlight one last time.
