I think the bearing is a 6207 too.

Durania replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThank you guys. I am probably going to run it to my mechanic tomorrow and let him replace these. I have to drive 90 miles a day to school and the semester is about to start back up. After this I will have all the major maintenance items taken care of. Clutch, timing belt, head gaskets.

Durania replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI always figured that when my gaskets went it would be overheating and leaking coolant from the heads with the dark milky crap in the radiator, this aint the case. Would a bad radiator cap still allow it to blow heat out the vents but still not overheat?

Durania replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXTalked to my buddy who is a mechanic. He said it may be the radiator cap going or the gasket. I remember when the cap went on my BRAT that I would be overheating and have zero heat, this aint the case. Too bad this didn't blow before Christmas, would have made a good gift.

Spewing Coolant - Now Part Of The HG Club
Durania replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI have not had to top it off before. I did add some last night before my drive this morning. I did hear a slight gurgling the other day. Up until yesterday, it had never leaked a drop of fluids. Power output is still the same and also no check engine lights.

Durania replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI prepared myself for that before I even posted a thread. I also checked the dipstick and there are no signs of coolant in the oil.

Spewing Coolant - Now Part Of The HG Club
Yes its an EJ25, phase 2, 117k. Just got back from a 200 mile round trip and had been spewing coolant the entire trip. Realized something was up when I smelled the all too familiar scent of antifreeze. I have gave everything a very thorough look over. I felt the hoses and nothing is busted, I even took my timing belt cover off and looked at the water pump and everything is dry inside the covers. I looked at my headgaskets and I see no coolant coming from them. I am getting coolant overflowing out of the top of the reservoir with WHITE foam. The temperature is staying right where it should be on the gauge. It does show that I had the head gasket additive added before. I really do not have a clue on this one.

Took out heater core, flushed, still ZERO heat!
Dealership, get it and the gasket there.

You may indeed have a thermostat sticking open. Are you sure you have a thermostat in it? Someone may have took it out at one point in time if the motor was having overheating issues.

HID Hi/Lo Issue - Shooting for Refund
Durania replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThanks. Its not really that bad of an installation. Just set aside a few hours to have it completed. Like most of the mods I do, I try and do as much research as possible. Hopefully my dad will not notice the difference in the light, wife is about tired of hearing me talk about them.

HID Hi/Lo Issue - Shooting for Refund
Durania replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWell the installation was not really that bad. Most of the time is spent finding a mounting location for the ballasts. I recommend using some industrial strength velcro on a clean surface. My kit came with the dedicated wiring harness that you mount to the battery so there is no load on the cars wiring harness for these. There is an H4 plug on the harness that plugs into the driver's side original headlight plug. I currently have the 8000k bulbs high and low in it right now and really like the look, just have a hint of teal to them. Most of the pics I seen of the 8000k on the net show them to be crazy blue, these are not. I should be getting the 6000k next week and will be sending the 8000k back. Honestly its not that much brighter paying for the bright kit, it just angles the bulb up higher. Stock lighting with Silverstars: 8000k at night without fogs: The look I want, minus the amber corner lights:

HID Hi/Lo Issue - Shooting for Refund
Durania replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI have that sound on the passenger side you are referring to just not on the drivers side. I thought it was the relay at first but realized that it was too loud to be the relay. Swapping the bulbs confirmed that it was not a bulb problem. These were a Christmas gift from my dad and wife and have already contacted the people in the link. They're suppose to call me on Monday and probably feed me some jazz that I will have to take them off and ship them back to them, wait 2 weeks and get the replacements back. The parts do work, just at 95% of what it should.

HID Hi/Lo Issue - Shooting for Refund
I just got my HID kit installed, on my 2000 RS and am very happy. I have an issue where I only have a high beam on one side. Switched bulbs it stayed on that side so it ruled those out. I hear my relay clicking in the fuse box when switching them on and off. I contacted the company I ordered them from and they said I would contact me monday to help troubleshoot. Thanks guys.
