  1. Won't fit a LHD vehicle without serious modification, that is why they are dirt cheap. Issue is with clearance from the steering column and one of the turbos. You would be 1000x better off swapping in a single turbo motor.
  2. Thank you John. I was going to bow out of this one gracefully and let Darwin handle the rest. Seriously dude, don't half-rump roast your head gaskets. Take the $50 and go to your dealer and buy a set of head gaskets, $42.95 MSRP and $31.44 from subarugenuineparts.com. Then man up like the rest of us and either pay a reputable place to change them or do it yourself.
  3. Yeah, it may stop the HG from leaking but what else will it stop up? The same principle applies for radiator stop leak. Fix the head gaskets right the first time and enjoy.
  4. Just got this email back from him: "I am at work right now and it is suppose to rain most of the day today. After I get home from work, I could send you some older pictures when the car actually looked pretty good. It is not suppose to rain tomorrow, I will push the car out of the garage and take some pictures. It is a two door GL model. Yellowish beige color with a dark brown top."
  5. I just seen that as well on my local craigslist (I live 20 minutes away). I wonder how good of shape it is in....
  6. Well, It is a six years old after all and you do live in the rust belt. Write your state legislature and ask them to quit using salt on the roads.
  7. Here ya go: http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=turbo+on+a+naturally+aspirated+car Just go ahead and sell one of us your GL and buy a first gen Legacy.
  8. I just hope and pray that Subaru never starts producing cars in China for the American market.
  9. Boy, I got a laugh out of that ad. Here ya go: http://bellingham.craigslist.org/pts/1439849535.html
  10. Also may want to check http://www.nasioc.com Before you do ANY postings, search first. The locals there aren't as friendly as we are.
  11. The headgasket issues was why I wanted to stick to the Impreza OBS. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the 96 Legacy Outback the coveted one because it has the EJ22 in it and not the EJ25?
  12. Wife and I are wanting another vehicle to use to haul trash off, take camping, or other miscellaneous items. My 2.5RS coupe is not a practical vehicle for hauling large items. She has an 04 Accord that can haul some larger items than my RS. The years I would like to stick to are 97-01. She cannot drive manual and I will not let her learn on my RS. She wouldn't mind learning so we are both cool with an auto or a 5 speed. I realize that the phase 2 EJ22 is in these things. Mileage is not an object either as long as it is in good mechanical upkeep and not rusted out. Color preference would be for the Blue ridge pearl two tone or the acadia green two-tone. Main question is: What is USMB's dealings/experiences with this model of OBS?
  13. Will one of them be sufficient or will I need to use two to space my o2 sensor back?
  14. Thanks man. Looking like I will give this a try before I order some high dollar sensor.
