  1. I think it will. Probably will have to swap intake manifolds since the 99 is MAF based and the 2000 is MAP.
  2. I had 16" WRX wheels on my 91 Legacy with stock 205/55 size tires and had no trouble at all. Noticed a huge difference in handling.
  3. You should be able to find one at a junk yard. Not sure if you will be able to use one off of a 98 since it was DOHC that year and 00-01 were MAP based so those years are ruled out.
  4. I put an auto zone reman one on my Brat when it died after work one day. Of course I didn't have much of a choice. I do try and stick to OEM on most items simply because there is a large difference in quality.
  5. How about just going ahead and replacing it? That way it doesn't kick the bucket on you 70 miles from home and end up paying the tow bill on top of a new alternator.
  6. Yep, the 2.5 and 2.0 DOHC are in there horizontally. The SOHC engines are in at angles.
  7. I am sure you'll remember it but make sure you get the Subaru gasket for the thermostat as well.
  8. My money is on the alternator, those things can be finnicky when they are on their way out.
  9. Got ya, thanks. Looks like I need to invest in some monster Hex heads.
  10. Not really wanting to disconnect the piston for the rod. Would like to keep it all together as one piece.
  11. Subaru makes something that will clean and refresh your HVAC system. I've seen it advertised in some pamphlets they send me.
  12. I have an EJ25 shortblock that I am wanting to pull the pistons out of. I already have the oil pan off. How do I go about pulling these pistons out and will I need any special tools?
  13. I didn't think '95 model vehicles would return with OBDII check engine codes.
  14. After doing some searching, I seem to have found the cause of my sticky rev issue at cold startup. If I don't give the car about 2 or 3 minutes of sitting idling it will hang rpms when I push the clutch in and make shifting annoying and difficult. Whats the best way to clean this thing on my car? I cleaned the one on my 91 Legacy and it seemed pretty straight forward. I believe it is the piece on top of my throttle body that meets the intake manifold. Thanks, Kyle
  15. The 2001 Forester is going to be MAP based, just like the RS's. So that means that 98-99 is MAF where as the 00-01 is MAP.
  16. Got an email from them today and it said my credit card had been refunded. It has yet to be reflected on the credit card but we will see tomorrow. Also got a message sent to me today on Nasioc from a guy stating that he got a similar kit from the same company and that he doesn't have high beams either. Told him just to send them back and pray for a refund.
  17. Its easier to say: "Sorry dude, I don't like lending my car out" than it is to replace a clutch. I'm not fussing at you man, just trying to help save you some trouble at a later date.
  18. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=79590 The J hooks I bought for the topper I bought at first did not line up with the tie downs in the bed. I later got a gem top that had them with it. In the link you will see the J hooks I got at Lowes. They were over in the nuts and bolts section. They didn't work then so I took them back and used the tie down straps.
