  1. Wow, that is a sight. I never seen an OEM air filter in one either.
  2. +1 Also make sure that you are using a Subaru thermostat and gasket. The ones at the parts stores are garbage in comparison.
  3. Good writeup man. I replaced the rear bearings on my 83 BRAT and I swore I would never do it again.
  4. Good writeup man. I replaced the rear bearings on my 83 BRAT and I swore I would never do it again.
  5. Doesn't look bad. Beats the standard EA81 side bolster blowout.
  6. I love looking at the rear of the car. I keep expecting it to be like the opening of a rally stage when the Impreza launches and throws dirt and gravel out the back.
  7. Thanks man. As promised: Added Rally Armor UR mud flaps today:
  8. Figured I would start using this thread as my running Impreza blog. Got these in the mail today:
  9. Wow. Bet that would be fun to go through the gears on.
  10. Too bad they riced out the interior. That faux hood scoop is just about awful. Looks like someone really wanted a tricked out BRAT.
  11. I want to see a video. Little warning. A lot of people have had issues with Borla headers cracking. Hope you don't have the same luck.
  12. Earl Duff Subaru, the best Subaru dealer in state will be having a Subaru meet and car show on May 1st, 8:30am-4:00pm EST. On display will be Travis Pastrana's STi. All Subarus are invited and lunch will also be provided. 13. Looks good, needs gold wheels.
  14. What I followed when I split my EJ25. http://www.rs25.com/forums/f105/t74366-tearing-down-ejxx-block-pictures-head-removal-splitting-block.html
  15. Looks good man. I'm rocking 04 WRX 16"s painted gold on my RS.
  16. I was surprised when I bought bearings for my brat a few years ago. At the time I was working as a lead in an INA/Schaeffler Group warehouse. The 6207 bearing was a real popular bearing that we shipped to quite a few major companies. I remember Harley-Davidson ordering them by the thousands every week.
  17. Rob, I have had that picture saved on my computer for years. It is by far one of my favorite EA81 pictures.
  18. Oh wow, look at the clear coat reflection.
  19. No the EA81's thermostat is on the top of the engine. Follow the upper radiator hose to where it meets the manifold. It has two bolts and inside the cover is the thermostat. Remember, the Subaru gasket does not require any additional goo such as RTV material, just throw it on as is.
