  1. Yeah, those look like they should bolt up to the cat. I wouldn't buy a real Borla one though. A TON of people who have bought authentic Borlas have had them crack and have to be repaired. The ebay special headers will work just fine and are recommended by a lot of people on the RS board.
  2. Glad to help out Tom. Post some videos up when you find a header and get it installed.
  3. Are your turn signals turning off after you make a turn? If they are, then I would check the relay like SUBARU3 suggested.
  4. Depending on the exhaust you decide to use, will effect your sound. I have heard some exhausts be super raspy even with the UEL headers, make sure and find you a good exhaust to go with or just use the factory catback. This thread will give you some ideas: http://www.rs25.com/forums/f5/t52687-official-exhaust-should-i-get-thread-video-clips-only.html
  5. Ahh. Only Legacy I have owned is a 91. All my other experience is with BRATS and Imprezas.
  6. Build date and year on every Subaru I've had is on the VIN plate on the driver's side door jamb.
  7. I will be attending for the 3rd consecutive year. I think it would be awesome if we can get a Subaru convoy down the morning of the rally. The only downside is, like it any other rally,it's in the middle of nowhere. Rally Tennessee 2010 Location of Linden, Tennesssee: linden tn - Google Maps Here are a few pictures from the last two years:
  8. I did my buddy's 03 Legacy wagon tonight. His were extremely yellowed and it only took about 15 minutes. Used this:
  9. What's the label say that is on the driver's side door panel? Looks good man. Just about spot on with my old one:
  10. I used an 83 BRAT as a daily driver for a few years. Sold it and bought my 2000 2.5RS and got about the same MPG on the highway.
  11. Are you sure you don't have an air pocket stuck in the cooling system? Did you check the hoses to make sure you don't have a hole in one of them? Heater hoses too? Have you flushed the heater core to make sure it's not stopped up? Let's check those before jumping straight to head gaskets.
  12. There was a big running thread on the 08+ Impreza's crappy paint on NASIOC. I cannot find the thread for the life of me though.
  13. What he just sent me in an email: " It is when I am going. When I start to coast, going from a higher speed and letting off the gas, when its going down in rpms. Its like killing it when changing gears with a manuel. But when I give it more gas, it stops. I do know that the Breadbox did have to change their filters on the pump last week, when I got this tank of gas. Also, I didn't last long, the shake. Speed wise, I was going about 50-60 last week and 75-ish today. So, I don't really think it that. "
  14. Going strictly off what my buddy told me on the phone. 03 Legacy wagon, car will shake after filling it up with gas then it will go away. He is not getting any check engine lights. Water in gas? Charcoal canister problem?
  15. It is an interference engine and yes you can pull the heads without pulling the motor.
  16. I drove one last year when they came out. If you've never drove one before, you might find the test drive pretty interesting.
  17. Dan at Vermont Sportscar just sent me an update. The car is actually the 2009 Rally Car. I agree, Travis and Dave are both super nice guys.
  18. I am sure it is a replica. All I know is they paid a pretty penny to get it here. 3 more days.
  19. +1 Also make sure that you are using a Subaru thermostat and gasket. The ones at the parts stores are garbage in comparison.
  20. Good writeup man. I replaced the rear bearings on my 83 BRAT and I swore I would never do it again.
