  1. You're getting air in the cooling system somewhere and I am willing to bet it's the radiator cap. I have never heard of head gaskets going on the EZ30s before.
  2. http://www.rs25.com Someone is always selling USDM Impreza tails on there.
  3. They were a dealer accessory add on package. I have saw where people have later added them to their cars and it entails some cutting. Example: http://www.scoobymods.com/air-filtration-kit-installation-t156.html?t=156
  4. If dealer is too much cash to spend, I recommend MWE axles. Tell him you're a member here and he will wave the core fee, you still have to send him one back though.
  5. I stand by this stuff: I have used it on my Outback, friends 03 Legacy, 02 WRX. It's good stuff, all you need is a power drill.
  6. Did you try to move the wheel by grabbing the top and bottom of the tire to check for movement that way? How long has it been since the tires were rotated? May need to have them rebalanced.
  7. I consider leaking coolant to be a major issue. You then run the risk of the car overheating and causing greater damage. Not to mention the risk it plays to animals and the environment.
  8. The 2002 Legacy GT would have external leaks and just leak coolant. That year had a Phase II SOHC EJ25. The DOHC is the one to watch out for.
  9. Correct, won't fit. You can get a set of WRX 16"s for dirt cheap though and they look great.
  10. This MAY work if they guy still has it: http://www.rs25.com/forums/f177/t135993-99-rs-stock-airbox-w-maf-sensor.html
  11. Incorrect. 99 was the odd ball year where SOHC was present along with MAF. 2000 was the change over to the MAP sensor. http://www.cars101.com/subaru/forester/forester_archives.html#new%20for%20%2799
  12. 99 Forester would have a SOHC. You could also maybe get lucky and find a 99 2.5RS, those MAY work.
  13. I think you should go ahead and factor in that even though the engine has 90k, the head gaskets probably haven't been done yet. I would bet money that they will end up going very soon.
  14. Just gonna throw this out there. You didn't happen to put the MAF in backwards did you? If possible. Can you get us a good shot of the engine bay?
  15. Agreed. My first car was a 4EAT 91 Legacy. I hated it! I knew right then that everything I owned had to be a manual tranny.
  16. Buy me one too!
  17. If they are flashing sounds like you may have triggered the car's security system. What model and year of Subaru do you have?
  18. Another reason I miss my BRAT. That dual-range tranny was amazing in the snow and on dirt roads.
  19. Survey says: Tom gets a dual range....now.
  20. I am still trying to work up the initiative to re-boot my inner axle. I put a used boot on it two weeks ago and the replacement ripped in just a few days worth of driving.
