  1. Should have explained that one better: Version 6 STi:
  2. I'm sure you guys have access to a lot cooler stuff than we do. I'm willing to bet you got a couple v6 STi's running around.
  3. I was under the impression that all gen 2 Brats got the 2 piece sliding back glass. Sounds like it was changed at one point.
  4. Some had melted by the time I took that picture but we got close to 8 inches.
  5. It sure was man. Glad you bumped this thing, I just finally dug it out from the snow last night that we got here.
  6. I miss my 84 Hatch every single day. It was shiny maroon as well but only a 2WD. I've got an STi now and still long for the GL's amazing character. Get you a good set of rubber floor mats for these winter months. I got them in everything I own.
  7. If anyone would like a PDF of this manual for further reading, PM me with an email address. Copied directly from the manual on my old 2000 2.5RS: The status indicator/Valet button HS1004BB The Status Indicator is a high intensity warning light, located on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. The Status Indicator displays a visual indication of the security system’s status while creating a powerful theft deterrent. LED status Off: System is disarmed. Double-Flash: System is in valet mode. Steady Flash: System is armed. Fast Flash: System has been triggered. On: System is in pre-arm state (and will arm when all doors are closed). n The valet button (built into the status indicator) The Valet Button is used to engage Valet Mode (see “Valet mode” Section). In Valet Mode, the security system will not arm, through the siren will chirp and keyless entry features will function when the security system is disarmed.
  8. I had an 83 parts Brat that had one of those covers on it. Everyone always seem to lose them or like mentioned, they broke. How about the in glove box mounted mirror?
  9. When I first saw it all I could think was: "Needs an RS/OBS hood and different wheels". You beat me to it. Those 5 spoke RS wheels look great on that car. I vote gold though. Gold on that Silverthorne Metallic looks great in my opinon.
  10. I had a 2000 2.5RS coupe that I drove to my last 2 years of college. Was a solid car once the headgaskets were replaced. Would not have hesitated to drive it across the country. It was definitely not a family car and felt cramped with another person in there. Definitely was my last coupe. If I had to get rid of my 95 Outback I would definitely go to the 2000-2005 Legacy style, love a GT wagon. I do have an 05 STi that is about to be my family car with my wife expecting in July.
  11. Blinks to show that the car is locked and is armed. Push it to go into valet mode, I do believe.
  12. Why not disconnect the battery and discharge residual power in the system?
  13. My 95 Outback is wore quite a bit, not as bad as the brat use to be though. If you can drive a shifter slopped Subaru, you can drive anything.
  14. I strongly suggest taking the alternator back and getting a replacement.
  15. Yes, then No. I am a systems administrator for the local municipality.
  16. That's the factory gold BBS wheels. The camera on my Droid isn't a fan of dusk lighting. Thanks for the compliments guys.
  17. Rough day at work. The drive home in the 95 OutSack just didn't cut it.
  18. I am not a fan of the seats in my 95 Outback. I would love to throw a bugeye WRX seat in there. I had a set in my RS and loved them every single minute. I still prefer them over the seats in my 05 STi. My grandmother has a 91 Legacy with blue interior that I have considered snagging the seats out of it. Not sure how well it would work since it has automatic seat belts and my 95 does not.
