  1. Hell of a job Tom. Looks good man.
  2. Gotta ask. You dropped it behind the dash when changing your HVAC bulbs?
  3. I know it might not be related. Won't an intermittent, failing fuel pump cause it to die when turning? Fuel filters been changed?
  4. Thank you. I remember pulling OBDI codes on my 91 Legacy. Don't know if it matters now or not but my Outback is a 5 speed.
  5. I know I say this all the time. I'd go ahead and get the thing replaced or you'll wind up stranded on the side of the road.
  6. Take the car to Autozone and have them pull the codes there. Just takes a few minutes to do. The car is OBDII so there is a special reading tool for it.
  7. Got ya. I know what you are talking about now. I guess I will be doing some more investigating. How do I pull an ABS code next time?
  8. I bled the system after I installed the master cylinder yesterday. This is the second time the light has came on and didn't start coming on until I installed new rotors. I'll see if I can give the compressed blowout a shot.
  9. Installed new master cylinder last night. After doing some hard braking, my ABS light comes on and goes off after I restart the car. 95 Outback Any tips?
  10. Oh, I plan to. Now I just need to find that STi to park next to it.
  11. New master cylinder installed this evening. No more Titanic brake pedal. Not a bad repair at all.
  12. Looks a lot better than when you first got it. Catch that Fox!
  13. They ran an extended warranty on the head gaskets and were warrantied to 100,000. Mine just happened to blow at 120,000. About the only fix they tried was the coolant treatment.
  14. Sorry to be the bringers of bad news. We see these types of posts every week. I have been there, I know exactly how frustrating it is. Best thing you can do is fix the head gaskets and drive the car for another 100,000 miles.
  15. Same thing happened to me in January. I had zero running issues, zero coolant and oil mixture, zero over-heating. What happened was the coolant jacket was getting pressurized and causing mine to come out the overflow and spew all over the engine.
  16. Sounds exactly what my RS did when the head gaskets went. Yeah, I jumped straight to the head gaskets.
  17. Not happening.
  18. No more ABS codes since the other night. I am assuming they are linked. The light came on right after I had to get on the brakes really hard but went off when I restarted the car.
  19. Guess I am just as guilty. I have not really promoted her as much as I should. Not found an STi I liked yet anyway, so oh well.
  20. Also came back to my STi exhaust being free and I just had to pay for the flange to be made to fit my cat. Plus I knew I wouldn't be keeping the car long. Wish someone would buy it.
  21. Nipper, I am FULLY aware of the crappy quality of auto parts items. He has already ordered the alternator. Why not be a little more optimistic? My multiple Auto Zone CV axle, brake rotor, thermostat, and clutch cable failures are a true testament to that.
  22. That AutoZone alternator should come with a lifetime warranty.
