I like the yellow fogs man. I put some yellow fog tint on my RS and really love the look it gave it. Not much for the monster 04-05 STi scoop. I think a JDM Forester STi one would like smoking hot painted to mach. My friend and I went and drove a white 04 XT a few months ago. We both really liked it except for the tranny shifted really hard each time. Plus I smelled oil everytime we stopped. I told him to pass.
  3. They aren't as common on the newer ones as they were from say 96-02. I have seen a couple later model bajas where the gaskets blew.
  4. Well said 3eyedwagon. Our police department at work requires attendance at the state's police academy. There they have a course in evasive and defensive driving as part of the core curriculum.
  5. You need to also realize that government agencies buy vehicles on a "low-bid" basis. Have you ever been in the front of a police car? We have so many electronic items in ours at work that a person cannot even sit in the passenger seat. DVR, AVL, CB Radio, light bar controls, police band radio, laptop, plus a shotgun/AR15. Yeah, I agree that the Crown Victorias and Impalas are turds when it comes to cars. I do not see it feasible to put a turbo, AWD, MT car in a police lineup. They would be in the garage every week for smoked clutches and broken gears.
  6. I knew exactly what the problem was by just looking at the picture. Since you're going to be in there replacing the water pump and gasket. Go ahead and do the timing belts and tensioners too.
  7. Are you getting any check engine codes? If so, get them pulled and come back here with the numbers.
  8. I agree with this ^ You can't pay me to swap dashes in another vehicle again.
  9. I'll raise ya with my 2.5RS. I've took out 4 birds with my car since owning it. 1 in the hood scoop.
  10. Usually when I got feedback through the radio it was a telltale sign the alternator was going out.
  11. Wow, that's good you got it taken care of. Someone in Lafayette got in a hurry one Friday afternoon.
  12. Did not know that. That's pretty good info to know.
  13. Try this ^ I bought 3 OEM EA81 cables from my local dealer.
  14. Just now heading out from the rally. Was awesome running into Numbchux yesterday at the park expo. He was wearing the "our world is flat shirt". Had a great time. Will upload pictures later.
  15. Anyone got a writeup on how to clean the IAC on my RS?
  16. I'm diggin' that trashwagon camper. I love the fact that Fox has his own paint scheme.
  17. Anyone going? I won't be driving my RS but riding navigator in my buddy's 02 WRX .
  18. Man, that's not a bad deal. I would be tickled to death to get them to cover 50%.
  19. Lets see some pictures when you get done. I just got done putting Optilux XY yellows in my RS fogs along with yellow film.
  20. I still see a lot of them being used for rural mail routes. Be even cooler if you put a 5 speed in it.
