This is going to be my pavement pounder. I'll use my red brat and SJR Wagon if I feel the urge to beat the hell out of a rig! For your Sedan Do you have a lift all set up for it? Should We start setting dates for a wheeling trip? Jeff

Check out what I got yesterday (a new lifted Brat)
About 3 or so years ago My buddy Ben bought a Brat from Bob down in buckly, Ben went and lifted it and got new Wheels and tires. Aftere all that he parked it about a year ago in La Conner, So he called me up and asked me if I wanted to buy it. I said yes, So I got and 83 Brat with a 4" lift under 1000 bucks. It's the Score of the year. Jeff

EA81-EA82 swap
I did it too. no more timing belts!! and very strong axles. I used the carb from the EA82 on the EA81 block. there are a few other little things you have to do for that but if you are using the EA81 block and Intake it should be a lot easier. Jeff

Saturday the 5th Walker Valley anyone?
We do need to do runs like this more often, This was a big weight off my shoulders, after running the lifted EA81's for the last 7 or so years, This was the first time that I have got the take the GL163:lol: up and run it like it was ment to be run, and no broken axles, that is the nicest thing ever not changing an axle on the trail:headbang: I still need to weld the rearend and tie the battery down better but over all I'm happy with the out come for the day. I know David is drooling to get one he would do almost anything for one. I'll talk with him and see what all I can do for him, Scott you know I got a ton of parts but I want to do something for him, cause he used to wheel with the crue all the time. Lets see what we can do for him!! And for those of you wondering what is a GL163, I like to name all my cars (But I kinda stole this one from Will), anywho the car is an EA82 with an EA81 motor 81+82=163:) and it's a GL so there you go Its a GL163 Jeff

Saturday the 5th Walker Valley anyone?
You should come up and check it out some time, I think between Scott and I we have enough parts to build a whole new car if you needed so no worries about breaking parts and all that jazz. You would really like that trail that Scott and I went on yesterday. Jeff

ea 81 running like crap
That would work better, but if you don't have C-clamps and all that stuff, Its any port in the storm, you could use anything you want, But I just wanted to give him the Idea an assload of gas will come shooting out once you take the lines off. And if you are in the right place you will get it in the face. Jeff

ea 81 running like crap
If you go to do this, get ready for gas to run down your arms. Audio_File (Chris) here on the board came up with the Idea of using golf Tees to plug the line once you remove the filters. you can get a bag of 100 of them at Wal-Mart for 1 buck. Jeff
