More mud flinging fun this weekend.
I don't think I'll be able to make it this time I checked out my brat after last week, cause I had this knocking sound on the way home from down south, anyways come to find out I ripped 2 of the 3 blots that screw into the body off the lift, and I also just broke my 16th cv axle since buying the brat 1 year ago. I would like to go but can't. The hatchbrat is still waiting for a clutch kit too so we are both out. Jeff

If I can get mine put back together and weld the rear end, I'll go down there. Brian is going to get his Hatchbrat from down south, and he's gonna fix it tonight so he might wanna go too. Jeff

I went on that trip and it was hell. Brians car is still down wilkison. Woody (teal wagon) ended up breaking a rear cv alxle, and while we were runing to get gas I blew out one of my tires. and if you ever go to Evans creek with a shell card the nearest shell is in Auburn, a one hour drive. This was one of the coolest trips for wheeling but camping out and all the stuff that went wrong kinda over rode that. I finnaly got home at 10:20pm. It was fun though. I'll be down to do it again. Got a lot of bugs to work out this week. Jeff

There might be room w/ one of us, we might have 4 coming down now. Woody wants to go (the guy with the lifted teal wagon). So someone might have an extra seat. Jeff

Yes we are coming for sure, There might be three of us but two for sure. we're all planning to leave here (mt. vernon) early very early and get down there. That would be cool if you'd give us your number we can all convoy down there. is any one else going to go down too from your area. This is going to be the first hardcore wheeling test for my brat since I've lifted it. I've done a little here and there but no trails or good stuff yet. I'm looking forward to this. Jeff

Subaru's Everywere!!
Rust, as long as the inner fenders have been in it, it shouldn't be all that bad. But If it has set for a long time look out. I got a '79 BRAT right across the river from concrete and it was the cleanest straightest one ever. I think it's just kinda hit or miss. Just buy all the subarus good or bad that's always kinda been my deal. Jeff

i think 29s will fit with no lift
I have 30s on my brat and they got the crap chewed out of them. I got a pic. of it cranked all the way over and it ain't much I even chopped the fenders. Take a look http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=871&sort=1&cat=500&page=2 I have a 4" lift on it now but it still rubs. Jeff

Walker Wheeling run On The Jeep Trail
A couple of us up here want to get a few guys together and hit the jeep trail for Oct 2nd or 3rd. I kinda want to get up there before it gets to wet, cause if I recal there was one trip up there and it was all crappy and nobody went nowhere, don't get me wrong I want a challenge but you know. Anyways hope a few people sign up it should be killer. Jeff Just to add on it too. It's burley stock subies will not even make it around the gate, well they might but you will never open your driver side door again, so I just had to add that.

What is the ECS light
Oh I think I'll look into it then. :-\ It could have real big problems now. Jeff

lift is done
- What is the ECS light
ECS light I don't know what it does, but the second it comes on things start not working right. Jeff- drive time clock
That's probably the first thing I should have done. I just gotta be careful and make sure I don't pull the misc. Jeff pearson wireing harness off. That would ruin my weekend. Jeff- drive time clock
What is it that causes your clock to start at 1:00 everytime you start the car. And now it started binking like its a timing light. The good news to this is I have learned that while I'm driving into work and I've left at 7:40am and I look at the "drive time clock" and I see that it says 1:25, that means I'm late .... again:-\ Jeff- next trip for wheeling ?
That new trail is burley, if you don't play your cards right you can get a fair amount of body damage. I went with my buddy in his chopped hatch. I think it will be a heck on a brat or a wagon. So that's why i'm going to try. and no I don't have any pics yet. sorry. Jeff- next trip for wheeling ?
Now that I got my Brat all done, I was wondering how long till the next time that a crew is going to reiter, or some where in the nw, to do some hardcore wheeling. I just got to put my front bumper on, hook the fan up right, and weld the rearend up. After that I'll be good to go. If no one is going to do anything else I'll set up a date to go up to walker valley to go on the new jeep trail. Just want to wheel. Jeff- lift is done
I'll have them as soon as I can. Just got to wait for my buddy to take a pic . Jeff- lift is done
I did have to do all that pounding and stuff. I built all my lift so it doesn't look that good like it your pic there but the strut bocks were by far the hardest part of all lots of grinding and fabin' were involved. I gave it the first test this weekend in a big ol' mud pit. Nothing fell off and the motor still runs so I think she's good to go. Jeff- lift is done
I finally got my lift done. It's only a 4" but I can finally turn my front tires more than 1/60th of a turn. Plus It likes to wheel a whole heck of a lot better.I changed a whole bunch of stuff on it to. I went through and put new heads on, 2 cv axles clutch cable lift and little odds and ends. I'll get pics of it and show everyone soon. Jeff - What is the ECS light
