  1. I would like to go up to reiter pit, I'm sure if I go Scott would not want to go because I'll probably break something and it'll be over in the first 40 min. Thats the way the last 2 trips we've gone on have ended up. But I would like to run up there some weekend soon. I might be able to get todd to come down too. Woody and Will would probably like to come as well. They are both lfted. Jeff
  2. here are a couple more pics of it out of the shop
  3. I did figure it out, I did have a broken motor mount and I fixed it. I think I broke it way back when we went to evens creek and I just 2 months ago changed it out. I used old axles from todds and some I just rebuit. The only thing that it would do to the axle was pop the iner joint keeper ring off ,that was from it getting pulled to far out. On the rear I just shatter the outside bells, I don't know if thats just because they are old or what. I never broke a rear axle untill I welded the rear end up so those two factors combined might be the perfect combo for a broken rear CV axle. Jeff
  4. I know. There's not much I can say for the axles except for, They brake... alot . Next lifted Subaru for me will be a gen 3. I have broke 20 cv alxes on my Brat 18 fronts and 2 rears. They are the weak link in gen 2s. Jeff
  5. are your wheels a silver color and your car is a white gen 3?
  6. I think that they are a Toyota wheel.
  7. yes, Scott in Bellingham made the strut blocks for me but other than that its all done right in that shop. Its just a 4" but I cut the fenders a little to fit some 30x9.50x15s on it. I also just tonight put disc brakes on the rear, hope that helps
  8. There she is. Ugly as ever, I have one more shock to go on the right rear but other wise thats it.
  9. This is the 83 gl10 wagon Just one right rear shock to go and she's all done.
  10. This is my Brat This is my buddy Woodys Brat, its been down for about two years but its coming back.
  11. I know there are a few guys around this area that have lifted Subarus, like scott, Rollie and andy. Of course there is our crew in skagit Co. as well, most of the guys have kinda got out of it or their car is kinda outa it. Ithink there are only 3 or 4 of us left. anyways, I was wondering if there are very many other lifted subies around. It would be good to maybe all meet up and do something. Iknow that lots of people don't like to go wheeling a long ways from home but no matter where I go I for the most part end up breaking something but thats all part of the fun. By the way my name is Jeff I have and 82 Brat w/ a 4" lift. I live in downtown Mt. Vernon WA and I Also have an 83 gl10 4" lifted wagon, I'm just now finishing up on. I'll put pics up in a bit.
  12. Have you done anything with that thing yet. I'm looking forward to seeing that bad boy run. (the one in the shop that is) Jeff
  13. Well I'm glad to say that once again my Brat was the big let down of the day. 13 min . into the run I broke a rear cv Axle and @ the 22nd min. in I tore the rear lift blocks out of the body. I think that, that may have well been the last run to Walker with the brat, I'm going to fix it but keep it for snow or mud, not walker rocks. They tend to kill my Brat. All said and done we we where out the gates of Walker Valley by 11:15 am. And my brat went home on a trailer from my work, witch is about 1 mile down the road luckly. Scott it was fun. but I'm sorry that it was short lived. Jeff
  14. This doesn't look to be going over to well. Nobody is even posting anything about going. So it looks like Scott, My brother in law Chad, and i will be heading up there on August 18th. Thats the plan. Jeff
  15. Tonight we are putting the lift on Chads car, I hope to have it finished by sunday night. I'l still need some shocks and misc. things but it'll be close. We will also be up there in the morning. Jeff
  16. Wanting to see if anyone would like to go up Walker Valley and wheel around on an up coming Sat. or Sun. My Brat has been down for about the last 2 Years but I got her going again. lets go wheeling. If there are any doubts about it being open I work a 1/2 mile away from the place and its open. Jeff:banana:
  17. '82 Brat 4" lift home made 30x9.50x15 Maxis Mudder Buckshots 15x10 '76 chevy Blazer wheels straight pipped no muffler or cat. weber
  18. That is the very first place I went to ,wcss III, that place is rad. I'll be there. Jeff
  19. one eye replied to BlindSight's topic in Off Road
if you go with a 235/75/15 that is the same as a 30x9.50x15 and that's big. I have a set of 30x9.50x15 buckshots on my Brat and I had to chop alot of my fender off. Go with a 205/70/15 or smaller if possible. Or you'll be cutting. Jeff
  20. I might be able to go. not to sure though. I can ask for it off but . That's the only thing I hate about my job. Jeff
  21. I'd like to go but my new job is killing me. I work 6 days a week for about 70 or more hours a week. I would like to go but....... I still have not fixed my Brat yet so that would play a factor too. hope you guys have fun get lots of pics. Jeff
  22. Good to see that you found it Scott. It's kinda a little fun spot to go to just to dink around at. I still feel bad I didn't go but I'll try my hardest to make it to the next one. Jeff
  23. I hate to tell you this scott but I don't think i'll be able to make it. If guys want to go up still it is pretty easy to get to. Just go up highway 20 past lyman and just past hamilton. Turn right on Cabin Creek rd. at this point you'll be heading north then you take a right on hamilton cemetery rd. go past Scott paper rd and take a left on Medford rd it will seem like you are going up a road to someones house but keep cruising. after that you will head up in the hills a bit and there will be a parking lot keep going past that and you will go over a little bridge take the first left where the road splits and you will be and the Gravel pit. sorry about the short notice but I just found out today that we are working right through the weekend. so that angers me. you can mapquest it just to hamilton WA. and you'll be able to see it sorry to dump on you guys, Some of you know how I am about that kinda stuff but it happens I'll still tell Brian and he might go. Sorry guysJeff
  24. Sorry I've not been on in a while I just started a new Job at Draper Valley and I have not had time to check out the postings. That place is open all the time that was where they Had the redneck mud sling at. So any time it's good. Jeff
  25. There isn't really a map for the place. It's just kinda one of those places that the good ol' boys know about. It has a big old gravel pit, and a bunch of places to make trails. located right off hwy 20 on cabin creek road in Hamilton. and north about 1 mile from there. It's not like Walker It's really fairly melow. There are some tank traps and all that fun stuff to. it can all be done with an unlifed rig but its still tough. It's just an idea. Jeff
