  1. looks like a evo a bit and are those finder flares 2D or 3D they should just save money and spray them on... It looks alot like every one else.. Oh wow good for them.:-\
  2. "Help" brand studs.. is that a napa thing??
  3. When you did a search on this using the search feature what did you find? There are more then a few threads on it.
  4. I think I will head off to napa and see what they can do. IF not then I will make some from bolts. Any guess on a good lenght. I have a heli-coil job to do first on the hole. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=118774&highlight=heli+coil
  5. check your audio setting on the clarion. It is easier to destroy speakers with too little power then to much since the square wave kills faster. Mostly.. mostly having more power helps with THD and gives you more head room.. ie playing louder but clearer. I would pull the speakers out and try hooking them up to another audio sources and see if they still sound bad. Also try different speakers using the same radio. You may have a bad head unit with a blown mosfet or something. Don’t forget to check your impedance also. Are the 45 watt speakers factory? If all else fails verify your grounds. Ground loops are a common problem and can amplify with more volume. Some cars did use the chaise as a common ground for their speakers.. A big pain in the ars.
  6. slow down Ron it is 3ish in the morning. Most of the subaru ninjas are still sleeping from staying up late working on ej swaps from the night before. Patience young grasshopper
  7. That is pretty much what I thought thanks.
  8. I need one and I have a parts brat. Now the question is it easier to order one and where could I get one at..or is there a possibility to get one out of my parts brat. Has anyone ever tried to pull one out is it worth trying? Dont want to dig it out of the snow to find out it is useless.
  9. Is this a coarse or fine thread. I need to know because they sell both kits in the 10x1.25
  10. I am going to try to set up a pump in a tray and run it for a few hours onced hooked up.
  11. Mic brat is also running one of the MSD6's on his car. Not sure which one.
  12. I am going to try this the I will run with mics thing (post #8) more cold weather friendly. Now I got to get some descaler I like. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66721&highlight=Heater+Core
  13. yep the wrest are studs this one is just a bolt due to the last owner.:-\
  14. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73517&highlight=Heater+Core I think I am going to try this first and yes I know there are issue with making the heater core leak.
  15. I wanted to know if any one had a good write up with pictures on swaping out and cleaning the heater core on a brat. I have a few write ups on file but nothing with pics. Here is the old post but the pics dont show up for me http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49964
  16. When I got the brat from the guy before me it looks like he stripped the bolt and there was just enough pressure left in the thread to keep the bolt from falling out. So I need to install a heli coil. The only problem is I have never used them before so here I am. I am guessing you tap the the metal for the size coil you are going to use then some how thread that coil in to your new hole? Am I getting this right? Then the new bolt will just thread in to the coil. So my questions are what size should I get and what does all the gear intell. Thanks
  17. one parts brat from bheinen74 for a few 100 bucks and my own time. 90% of anything you need to do to these older subys you can do your self. The other 10% you can tackel once you done all of the other 90%.
  18. contact Jerry DeMoss on this board under members. He sales a great rebuilt one and can get the rest of the parts at discount. Mine works great!!
  19. I know you want to do the xt6 alt but honestly the GM one for me just bolted right in.. even the same belt. and they are ezier to come by.

  22. You need three things to make a motor work. Gas, Air, and spark at the right time. Have you pulled one of your spark plugs or wires and tested if you are getting spark? Does the motor not turn over at all or will it not start? Are you getting fuel in the carb? We need a bit more info. Welcome to USMB.
