  1. This guy taught me every thing I know about "master cylinder" Love Stuart Culpepper aka stan
  2. got it mounted. Now I need to mount the aux battery volt meter and change the face plate stickers as well as mounting a led in it so I can see it at night. Just got to get the cb in and the ant. up. Come summer it will get the por15 treatment and a chang of color.
  3. The fused switch pannel came in this week. So the only part I dont have is the spare battery. I hope to have all of this wraped up in the next two weeks we will see.
  4. love da girl. I will be using the brat for most of my adventures. Dirty girl has a new name. The bean bus at least that is what my daughters call it.
  5. I hope to have all of this done on the brat by next week.. we will see Jacobs ign. system. I bought this thing 9 years ago and it never saw the light of day. I bought it for my 383 48 chevy truck which will take another 9 years to get done soo hell... I might as well put it on the brat. Can you belive I paid over 500 dollars for this thing back in the day.. Next is the rebuilt soobby special weber package from Jerry with anti dieseling noid and a few other goodies Next 100 amp alt You notice in the above pic the intake is missing. Yep the guy helping me snaped the bolt on the intake for the carb mount. He is at his shop working on getting it out. Isolator for a dual battery system. I am still working on moutning locations. Now some of the load that will be on the second battery Lights CB and a place to put more lights. It is getting its final coat of spray (thanks mic for the bar) LSD and SJR lift, Rancho shocks Not the best pic of the brat but it is stuck in the barn with two other tractors so there is not much room and my other two soobys The wagon I picked up from chef_Tim just a bit ago. The exhaust issue killed my other front axel but it I is a solid rig. It will be getting a new bumper and light bar on top. As well as a clone of Mics ignation system in his brat.
  6. When do you see your self needing the extra power? If you need it when the motor is off then the extra battery is a good Idea just be aware that the stock alt was not realy made to charge two batteries. It will do it but read the write up about the install you realy dont have much amprage left after all the factory requirments are met. Dont forget to get a battery realy or Isolator, what ever your flavor is. I would get the alt first since it will meet pretty much what you want to do as long as the motor is running. Dont forget fuseable links!!
  7. I did this, this week on my brat. My alt bracket was not the same as the write up so it did not fit very easy it kept hitting the alt body but I loosend up the bolt that the bracket bolted to the motor and it gave just enough slack. (I dont know how kosher this is but it is a pretty solid mount, I might exted the bracket a bit later to mount it right.) I was how ever able to get it to work and even used the stock belt. We will see how it holds up. The down side for me in order to swap the belt out if it brakes I will have to remove alot more bolts then just the adjustment bracket bolt. Is it worth it.. Well if you plan to do any add ons such as lights or winch or audio system I say yes and for the price you are getting the Alt, you can not beat it. I got mine 45 shipped off ebay.
  8. No pics of me with the subies yet. I wil get some when my wife gets back from military duty in reeko. Here is me 7 years ago after weapons qual at my job. Dont worry I am pretty harmless. I am a ninja and I had to get used to using a rifle. This is me last summer. Working on my land and the barn. Yep now I have the married issued gut and kids. and here is a pic of a large dumb heavy tool and oh... a there is a sledge hammer in there too.
  9. FECES?? What do you put on your soobs bheinen74:eek:. He has the hood. It states it under the pic. mandelbrotx sit tight there are a few members in your neck of the woods.. Realy feces..
  10. who's black hatch is that?? I am looking forward to this.. I just need a date. You should put a few out so we can come to a consensus. If you give me what month you plan to do it I can tell you what weekends I have off.
  11. Just a quick FYI.. They were the right parts and are installed in the brat now. Now I have to replace the alt.. it is going bad. Good news is I have a 100amp in the mail on its way. Now I just got to see how it is going to clear the factory air cleaner.:-\ Or find a good priced WEBER. It turned out one of the mounts that bolt to the motor was missing a bolt. The motor actually sits diffrent now every thing is in tight. I could see how that would throw off the way it shifts but now all is well.
  12. I am getting off that morning for night shift.. sorry. I should still be sleeping when you start putting it together this Saturday but may be able to help in saturdays to come. keep me posted.
  13. You will feel better once it warms up.
  14. sounds good to me. It all comes to what day it is since I have a messed up work routein.
  15. :drunk:The Muffman does not live in Tacoma. He lives on Drury Lane...pissh:rolleyes: .. . . . . . . Yep.... thats all I got. Welcome
  16. It is a ea-81. I need to turn some renches on the brat. I have been having some one else do the work with the lift and the swap and I feel lost. I look forward to repalcing these and the clutch cable. Every one keeps talking about flages or mounting tabs. I wont know what they mean in till I get under neith it and start looking my self.
  17. Trany was done when the lift was put in. So that one should be good. car shift fine when cold but when it warms up to operating temp. First and second gear are grindy.
  18. So I just need some one to verify that all I need is two of these for a manual tranny?
  19. This is the pic that Rock auto has. I know...I know the pic is not always what you get when it comes to part suppliers.
  20. So.. I only need the front ones (two of them) and there the same. Since I do have a manual tranny. Rock auto says they have them. Has guys been haveing a hard time getting them from them. Brian I will probbably be sending you a pm.
  21. I have yet to look at it on my 85 brat so excuse me if I am missing something obvious. But I need some new motor mounts.. at least the issues I am having points to that problem. When you look on Rock Auto's web page they show one part number for the back one and one part number for the front one but in the front mount description it indicates a right and a left. So my question is, is there a different part number for the right and a different part number for the left or are they the same thing? And if they are do I just order two for the front and two for the back? I need to bust out my manuals but I hope these things are as easy to replace as I think they will be. Just a piece of wedge wood and some hand tools.
  22. I got white out pretty bad. It was the first time driving the new brat with a lift and bigger tires.. This car is way to light whith that wind and Ice beating me like a red headed step child. On the other hand the LSD did quite nice. It still scared the poop out of me. Every time I would slip I would end up side ways in the on comming traffic lane. Pluss the fact I need to clean the carb and it whent WOT on me twice.
  23. You are supposed to have the lamp in your car port hanging from the ceiling not laying against the wall... YOUR DOING IT WRONG!!
